Fedor is one of the top MMA attractions and JCC Jr and John Duddy are NOBODIES. Terrible comparison. #2 Floyd comes from a middle to upper class family. His father was a ****ing professional prize fighter ffs. He wasn't making millions like Floyd Jr does, but he was doing quite well for himself and so were his brothers. 'Money' did not come from the ghetto. Rich people sell cocaine, too. #3 At least 1.4 million people know who Floyd is.

When most sporting magazines and websites are riding the UFC's nutsack, and refuse to even do an article on anything boxing related that's not Mayweather vs Pacquiao, Boxing is alive and well compared to MMA. JCC Jr. is not nobody, he pulls the Mexican crowds due to his father's name, and that Werdum guy Fedor was fighting was the definition of a nobody. Fair comparison. #2 I'm well aware of who his father and uncles were, and also that most fighters are flat broke within a few years of retiring. And the Mayweathers weren't commanding millions during their carreer. #3 Yes, you can also take that number and multiply it several times, since it wasn't one person per TV. It's probably closer to 5 million who watched that fight. I NEVER SAID MAYWEATHER AIN'T ****. I just said he is not Pacquiao when it comes to popularity. May may draw bigger PPV numbers, but thats ALL he has on Pacquiao, who has more endorsements, more media attention, and just more general love from people that AREN'T hardcore fight fans. I started just another Mexican hater of the Pacman. Every Mexican did. But Manny won me over the hard way, by way of chingazos. So yeah, here's two thumbs up to the man who became my favorite fighter by beating my favorite fighters. :thumbsup

I don't really care what he's done for the sport. I love watching him fight because he is super-skilled, super-brave, and super-exciting. If the outside-the-ring stuff floats your boat, then he is the man because of his incredible, unprecedented charity work in the Philippines, but for me it's all about his in-ring activities. I love him for the way he fights the best, and always performs, never disappoints. The greatest fighter of our time.
