    The Philipinos that packed the bar last night seemed pretty happy with Manny.

    They were cheering and applauding everything single thing Manny did.

    They love Manny no matter what!

    Agreed 100%. Good matchmaking has made Pacquiao look better than he is. His last 5 fights have been against face first brawlers and 1 weight drained past prime DLH.

    Wow i didnt relise how many ******s were on this site.......
    This thread is bang out of order it was a world title fight i thought Margo did well considering the damage on his face he showed what a true warrior he is.
    Pac is exceptional what can you say, the only people who slate him are Mayweather fans, time to smell the coffee and wake the **** up..

    I think Jaguar might have a point. You gotta recognize at least that the attendance numbers were ****. Pac lacks controversy. He has an inspiring story but once you know it, there's nothing new to it. Pac is an unbelievable fighter who delivers great fights, which is enough to make him a star. But that extra mile I think will only happen when he starts to have a little more drama.

    I've said it before and I'll say it again, I appreciate Manny Pacquiao for keeping boxing on the minds of casual fans, but this fight, as was the case with all of Manny's fights since and including De La Hoya was won at the negotiating table.

    They took a guy who two fights ago was destroyed by Shane Mosley and made him seem like a worthy opponent and challenger for a title. The vacant title itself was/is a joke, as was the catch-weight. But you guys act as is he just beat Ali. :lol:

    Manny needs to give his matchmaker and PR team a bonus, because they have made him who he is. You guys are excited about Manny beating a proven cheater, that won a lackluster decision in a tune-up after being decimated by a true Champion in Shane Mosley. Why didn't Manny fight Mosley? He has a belt, and he beat Margarito! He is available! But...

    In all seriousness, who really thought the Margarito had a chance? How about Clottey? A shot Cotto? Exposed Hatton?! (I know DevilDoc I know, I picked Hatton over Manny because I saw something in training, but he completely abandoned the game plan, and the guy we saw in training wasn't the guy that showed up.) Drained De La Hoya with an IV in his arm? :gtfo:

    So no Duane, the hater is still here patiently waiting for Manny to actually challenge himself against a guy with good, solid defense, decent footwork, and the ability to move whether it's PW, Martinez, Floyd, Shane, or hell, I'd even settle for Berto. Until then, this **** is like WWE.
    Yep. The truth is, that if Manny was black none of you would give a ****. Call it race card or whatever, but if Tiger was white, black people wouldn't care half as much. If Cain Velasquez were white do you think that the Mexican community would have cared about the Velasquez vs. Lesnar fight? If Yao Ming were black, would half of China be wearing his jersey? Hell no.

    that was more entertaining than almost any fight floyd has ever had, and it was one of manny's more mediocre fights.

    if you just judge fighter's based on excitement, then pac is miles above floyd. i enjoy seeing a matador, but you have to have a bull to make that exciting. a matador fighting a pony just doesn't cut it. floyd has fought some aggressive guys & had good fights, but usually it's just his boring safety-first, cry like a woman afterwords style.

    Ha ha - You're saying Money Mosley was a better fight than Pac Margarito based on who sold more PPV's or tickets?

    That's like saying Mayweather Baldomir was a better fight than Corales Castillo I because more people saw it.

    That fight was by far the best fight of the year. Before that was Pacquiao Vs Cotto last year. The fight was brilliant. I got the Haye fight on Sky Box Office as I didn't have Sky Sports. I payed the $20 and watched an awful Groves stoppage and an easy win for Haye. This prompted me to pay a further $50 for Sky Sports JUST to watch the Pacquiao fight, and I stayed up until 5am to watch it. Rios fight was good and Jones fight was brilliant although a bad call. The whole event was super, I dont get your logic? This fight was much more a fair fight than May Vs Mosley
