That's your opinion and you are welcome to it.

No. I said that the pre-fight buzz and excitement weren't there. I think that pre-fight more people were excited about Mayweather vs. Mosley than Pacquiao vs. Punchingbag. I think that my point will be supported by PPV numbers, but the numbers themselves are not the cornerstone of my argument. Post-fight you clowns threw Manny a parade when he beat Clottey. *******s riot in the streets every time Manny steps into the ring.

So you think that Margacheato, destroyed 2 fights ago and a proven cheater is a better opponent and better fighter than the true Champion Shane Mosley?! How fair was the May/Mosley fight in round 2? :patsch

Throughout history, casual boxing fans have always enjoyed the limited brawler who would go in and mix it up. However this isn't Toughman. This is the sweet science. Manny is no sweet scientist. He is an easily hit, limited fighter that will continue to fight tailor made, over-matched opponents to avoid exposure. I only wish he had the balls to test himself both in the ring and out.

Lol , everyone was buzzing about it... ESPN, CNN , Yahoo....

The Bar I watched it at in PHoenix was full of Pac fans (large Mexican population in Phoenix), and tons of non-boxing fans who have heard about Pac and watched him and went crazy during the fight. The place was rumbling with Oohs and ahhhs.. everytime pac threw a combo... and when Pac would trade with Margo on the ropes the place would go nuts.

Sounds like a butt hurt ***** ... nothing more, nothing less..

You really think there would be more buzz after a Floyd fight? Lol.... everyone buzzing about how boring it was... thats all.
    get a life Jaguar , you FFF ( ****ing ****** *****)

Thank you. I agree wholeheartedly. Drama comes from challenge. Manny is not challenging himself. Being bigger simply isn't enough. Bigger and more skilled, now we're talking. But this whole David and Goliath thing is played. I am bored with Pacquiao and I think that the non-******* population is too. Let me know when Pac fights somebody that actually has a chance to beat him.

You need to learn how to read. I said pre-fight buzz, not post-fight. You can hate on Floyd and call him boring, but that just shows that you don't know anything about boxing. At least not enough to appreciate the skills of one of the best to ever do it.

As someone else point out, Manny Pacquiao has beaten the majority of two important "big fours": Pacman/Barrera/Morales/JMM and Hatton/Cotto/Margarito/Mayweather. He has beaten everyone except Mayweather, and old Mosley.

It's amazing because Pacquiao reached the top. Fighting an old Mosley would do nothing. It would be more of the same. For Pacman, the only options left are Mayweather, Williams/Martinez or some weak guys at 154.

Not as many as non-boxing fans were talking about the fight leading up to it. But on fight day they were.

Your post is more relevant to those of us in the know. But, for the casual fan who watched this...it was very entertaining. I had some people at work, asking me if I saw the fight, who aren't even really boxing fans. Will it top Mayweather/Mosely in PPV buys? I don't think so. The B side was just not convincing enough. Shane was coming off a spectacular win against Margo. Manny was fighting the guy Shane knocked out. The promise of the Floyd v Manny fight was fresh and looming, going into Pac's March fight against Clottey and Floyd's against Shane. But, neither fight lived up to the hype. And the superfight did not happen, after that.

People would be reasonably turned off, meaning the PPV crowd, and might either not buy the fight or find other avenues to see it. I knew quite a few people who watched this via stream. I went to a local bar and paid a $10 cover, myself. If the PPV's aren't great, I think it's, because, boxing fans have spoken. They need to give us the fights we want to see...not the fights they want us to see.

I agree. Although Mosley is a great fighter, I would like to see Pac fight May W if he can stop picking on women and other people. LOL

Anytime someone says floyd is boring they are labeled a "casual boxing fan". What does that even mean? I don't understand the sport or something? Floyd fights in a cowardly safety first manner. He is so scared to get hit that he retired for two years rather than take on one of his contemporaries.

That is not exciting. I guess a hard core fan like yourself enjoys watching sparring sessions, but us "casual" fans like to watch great fighters challenge themselves.

I don't know if I'm the only one, but I feared Pac could be KOed from the get go. The power of Marg hitting thwso much smaller Pac is easily KO power, and it was displayed. Pac was at such a rediculous disadvantage, it was like playing fight night and fighting someone two weights highter...hit and move BIG TIME. Mayweather Vs Mosley seemed like two equal guys fighting, and Mosley being so past it and Mayweather being reasonabley still prime made it just an obvious win for May. The 2nd round was a very very rare lapse in May's defence, but overall an obvious one to put your money on. I'm sure me and everyne else expected a KO tbh.
