I don't recall Floyd being cut other than his mouth. People get hit in boxing. Its not like Ortiz rocked Floyd. He barely landed anything flush on Floyd.
Probably from a clash of heads. And Floyd was barely getting touched by Ortiz and when he was... he rolled the punches. Kind of like what each and every Pac opponent does not do. Zab touched Mayweather more than Ortiz and that was with counters. Not all out barrage attacks like Pac. Floyd does a great job of not getting hit with wild barrage punches.
Yea I can agree with that. I thought Ortiz was going to come out blazing against Floyd. But he ended up fighting backwards. The last fighter that came at Floyd was Ricky Hatton. The question would be if Floyd starts to counter Manny, will Manny become gun shy? With Marquez even though he was getting countered, he would still land. With Floyd you get countered but you don't land anything.
Come on, let's forget and Ortiz for a minute... Pac looks sharp, lets hope he keeps coming forward in the fight like he does in sparring. I don't want a repeat of Mosley. He looks huge too, biggest I've seen him.
Yeah I thought Ortiz was gonna' do that, too. That's why I was predicting Mayweather to put a serious whooping on him. But to his credit, he [Ortiz] was a little more patient and elected to box and move more. As for Manny being gun-shy when Floyd would begin countering, I've kinda' held this belief from the moment their rivalry first started. But, again, it's something we will never be sure of until they fight. Manny always surprises me with something new everytime he fights.
mayweather sparring with pros pacquiao sparring with amateurs mmmmmmm........they don't even take JMM seriously at 144 LOL
I'm starting to realize Pac has better reflex when I thought. Notice how he throws the jab/left cross combo. When his opponent ducks under the jab, his eyes/reflex automatically sees it and punches downward or short uppercut. Also, Marquez needs to watch out for the short straight right after the jab/straight left combos.
