    It was more the speed.. Manny was soo fast in his prime.. Most fighters stated that the spped and of course punches you dont see coming from all angled will mess u up the most.. But yeah he did have very good power.

    Truly stunning performance from manny ...Not only was he hurting Cotto
    but he sat on the ropes several times lifting his arms up and invited Cotto
    to hammer his body despite the size difference !!

    If only the Floyd fight could have been made during this period of his career

    I wouldn't say that because Floyd did hurt him on the last round. Manny got him weight drained! And that was his last fight on peds

    Cotto actually got rocked and knocked down in the 2nd round vs Ricardo Torres then got up and put a beating on him and KO'd him in 7th or 8th round !!!

    Cotto was also down against Margarito, but those kd were caused by accumulation of punishment, not flrom single shots.

    This. Pac was lightning fast back then. Pac is still fast now, but only in short spurts. Pac doesn't have the stamina he used to have so he has to use his speed more sparingly.

    Cotto didnt see the punch ,it is the punch you dont see, or you cant get out of the way that hurts you.
    Example Holyfield Bowe 1 and 3, May weather Cotto, Mayweather had him hurt real bad in the last round with upper cuts.
    Chavez F Randle 1 and 2 right hand Chavez didnt see, had him hurt.

    Fight 2 of Holyfield Bowe, R Bowe was slower and heavier and E.H. could see what was coming. But in fight 3 E.H. didnt see the right hand Bowe threw at him caught him flush KO .

    So Money May weather, must hit just as hard or almost as hard a Pac cause he almost had Cotto out in round 12, he hits hard and maybe just as hard,as pac, but Cotto just didnt see both shotsfrom both fighters coming and both fighters hurt him. Its just that May Weather has hand problems not Pac.

    Its the punch you dont see coming that hurts you, the myth of the Iron chin fighter, that he cant get knocked out or hurt is just a myth.
