I'm ok with turning down Staples, Im NOT ok with turning down the Cowboys Stadium, why??? It can fill a stadium and for the betterment of boxing and its fans BELONGS in a STADIUM!!! Of course PBF wants it in Vegas, its his hometown, one thing noone has mentioned BUT Could the real reason Mayweather DOESNT want to fight in a stadium because he knows 80/90% of the crowd would be rooting against him????
70,000 people screaming for Pac and every move he makes PBF might feel could sway the judges, envigorize Pac and bum him out?
You know i'm thinking, why not this fight take place in detriot football stadiam? It has the indoors in which it holds up to 80 thousands or more fans. <<<It be huge and it be a fair. (Even though Floyd was born in detriot lol).
Yes vegas is where Floyd lives but he doesn't have alot of fans in vegas. I honestly don't blame Mayweather for not wanting to fight in texas. Texas got horrible judges and horrible refs.
I doubt he is fully aware of the tax implications. Again, his last several fights have all been in Vegas, a place where he pays no State income tax. His last fight in Cali was like 4 years ago. Now maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think that Pacquiao has reserched the different tax rates of various states in the U.S. Now I'm sure he wouldn't want to fight in Cali if he knew the tax implications, but I'm guessing that his desire to fight in Vegas probably has little to do with taxes. Again, if it was all about the money, why didn't he ask how much more Cali was offering before rejecting it?
It is going to be Vegas -the MGM grand. I am not sure why the promotion even acts like there are other choices.
In all honesty Reg, you have no real reason to believe anything you wrote. You are just blindly guessing here and seemingly ignoring common sense. Pac doesn't need to reseach varioius states. Why would he? He fights in Vegas mainly, and in the past, California a few times. And why should he ask about cali if he's possibly already aware? Is this a NEW tax situation or something? His desire to fight inVegas is probably based on....and get this....the fact that he LIKES to fight there, as his resume indicates. LIke I said, for some reason you seem to want to believe Pac rejected Cali for no discernable reason.
I don't know how week-long pre-fight and post-fight festivities could go. Then again, the NFL did host the Super Bowl there.
