It's actually gayweather's turn to fight a bigger opponent.

Intact he stated he will fight the winner of Martinez - Williams fight.

So bring it on! Waiting. Waiting.......waiting.........waiting.........

    Shut the **** UP Noob!

******* was a term invented for some pioneer Filipino posters here in ESB most specially for the Pacdbest-Johnco-Domingo trio. They were called tards because they whole-heartedly believed that a 126 pound fighter named Pacquiao could tore through the lightweight and welterweight classes and beat bigger fighters like hatton and dela hoya and be a threat to Mayweather. These tards are laughing at ESB right now

Martinez is a great fighter. However he is sort of tailor made for Manny.
Pac's movement would take away his power and he has a lot of big swings and misses. Manny's experience and footwork and volume punching would be too much for Sergio. Manny should take the fight it would be very tricky for martinez and easy for manny. Williams was the more akward guy that could give Manny trouble. Thank god he didn't win.

I just want to know what weight clause you are talking about. I don't get it, because I never read or heard any of this accusations from any reporters or boxing writers. Please, can you show me any proof that Pac demanded or any actual evidence that there is an weight clause in any of Pac's fights.

    Disagree completely.

I respect Pacquiao as a great fighter but it's pretty clear what is tailor made for him. Since the Marquez fight he has essentially lost about 3 rounds total in 6 fights. Almost all of these fights were sold with the premise of "Pacquiao is taking on a bigger man!". Most of these fighters that he took on are also very slow(at the stage in their career or their weight) and most were 1-dimensional. And quite frankly most stood right in front of Pac. And most of them had the strategy of "I'm the bigger guy, I'm going to impose my will on him!" (the exception being Clottey who was...or was not...trying to hold in his akra stew)....by now, it should be clear to everyone these type of fighters are tailor made for him.

Martinez moves a lot himself. Martinez is also a pretty good counter-puncher. Unlike other opponents, Martinez is not only big...but pretty damn fast. This fight would be the hardest fight Manny's had in years if you ask me.

Sergio walks around at 175 lbs between fights and said he's amenable at a catchweight of 156. Arum, on the other hand said, "no more big man fight for pacquiao". Now, pacquiao is a crazy lil' midget who was surely watching the fight yeaterday and may now contemplating of fighting sergio.

Again, i want pacquiao to fight berto for a unification bout.

    Is this serious?

    Cotto match at 145

    http://www.philstar.com/Article.aspx?articleid=488675

    Margarito 150

    ODLH 147

Now, it doesn't bother me either way what anybodies stance is on the catchweights, it's your opinion. However, if you really think their haven't been weight clauses (catchweights) in some of his fights you haven't been paying attention.

Unless you're referring to rehydration clauses?

The problem is we don't know if he really was A) To drained at the lower weight and this is really where he needs to be B) If by gradually adding movement of his own and new angles and being effective with two hands
he just put in the work to become simply great. C) People forget how important chemistry is. SI did a piece or it may have been CNN I will look for it but it basically was about a study on Superbowl teams and the main ingredient for that next level success was Chemistry. He and Roach truly have something amazing and rare is it to find a trainer that knows how to get the absolute best out of a fighter like he has done.

It is just hard to believe that Cotto, ODLH, Margarito + Clottey that they all have the same style. They all, each and everyone have given HOF fighters trouble in their own different ways.

To make that general statment is too broad for someone that has shown this much. Mayweather is a great candidate for your thoughts because of the lack of two handed power punchers on his resume who were in their prime.

Walking in can be said for hatton. But even Margarito is an attrition fighter a completely diff type of style. The kicker is Manny has proven one of thebest chins at WW this early in fighting at a high level. That makes him tough with how many punches he throws and that he can throw while moving always on his toes. Nobody else can do that at WW.

    :deal:deal

You are right on the money, since marquez Roach has cherry picked PACQUIAO into stardom and some consider him the best top 25atg because of it.

It doesn't take a scientist to see what is going.

I didn't say they had the same style, but there are similarities. Between ODLH, Margarito, Hatton, Clottey...I gave them pretty much 0% of a chance in beating Pacquiao. Cotto I gave a slight chance to because he had a little more in his arsenal I felt than the others (if ODLH were younger I'd obviously swap for him), and to his credit, he did better than the others even though he was demolished.

They have different styles but there are similarities. For instance as you state, Margarito is a pressure fighter whereas Clottey is far from it. Clottey actually has a defense where Margarito does not. Margarito has a high workrate where Clottey does not. However, these are the similarities. Are either of them fast in the hand or feet? No. Do each have a weakness(es) that literally EVERYONE knows about? Yes. Are they showing movement and showing different angles? Are they pretty one-dimensional and tend to fight the same way each time out? How are either of them as counterpunchers?

They don't fight anywhere near the same but they were sold in fights with Pac as "the bigger guy" when Pac has shown time and time again it doesn't matter if you're a "bigger guy" if you're one-dimensional. Out of the fighters since Marquez, I would only call Cotto and ODLH not one-dimensional fighters.

Forgot to get to this in my other post.

Like I said, I'm not dismissing Pac as a great fighter. He clearly is and he's gotten better over the years. However, I just completely disagree with the thought that Martinez is "tailor made" for Pacquiao when history has shown there are guys out there who are at a far more serious style disadvantage. It shouldn't take a boxing genius to figure out that Clottey had minimal chance against Pacquiao. It also shouldn't take a brilliant boxing mind to figure out that Margarito was up against it as well.

Like I said, it would literally be Pacquiao's hardest fight in years.

You could be right. at end of day they all put their shirts on the same way in the morning. U really never know. Which is why I can't get into being a Floyd fan because everything from his fans is "he would" - but Pac won't duck Sergio. Maybe he fights Shane and he reitres with that when floyd stays retired.
