For me March 13 is to early to prepare & fight again. He just fought last nov. 14 and have to resume training by January. He doesn't have enough rest that is much needed considering that his fight with cotto was not an easy one just like hatton. His body took the bombs from cotto so I think he needs to rest a little and for me May 1 is the ideal date for him to fight. But if it will be on March 13, it should not be an excuse.

One other thing, I noticed in the Pac and Cotto fight too many wide looping punches. You cant do that with an accurate counter puncher. I also saw a picture where Pac was punching Cotto with both feet in the air. Pac has alot to work on between now and March 13th.

Also, how bout the snow today?

There to be hit?:patsch Where's your proof? The punch stats don't support your argument. The scorecards don't support your argument. What we do have proof of is that Manny does indeed struggle with counter-punchers and PBF is the best in the game at that.

Yep coming in off balanced is asking for trouble against a guy who will capitalize on your mistakes. I couldn't help but watch the Pac-Cotto fight saying if he does that **** to Floyd he will get killed.:-(
Yea that snow was crazy it was really coming down today. I got off work early because of it so I was happy as hell.:D

I have watched a lot of sluggers have problems when they fight boxers/technicians. Ali/Liston, Holyfield/Tyson, Foreman/Ali, Spinks/Qawi and I could go on. However, they all have to plant their feet to get power. I keep emphasizing this because I dont want the Pac fans to be surprised when he cant connect with his power punches. Also, without any disrespect to Pac, Floyd has said that Pac only does basic stuff. Believe me if I see it, Floyd sees way more **** than I do, I will never go against a great boxer against a great slugger. Finaly, why would Floyd be so anxious for this fight?

My proof is that he got stunned multiple times and rocked very badly against Corley, who is terrible compared to Pacquaio. He got knocked back with a straight left from Sharmba Mitchell. And he got hit flush pretty consistently in the early rounds against Judah.

The punch stats don't support my argument, because 1. those were mediocre fighters, aside from Judah who is extremely inconsistent with his punch output. , and 2. like I said they didn't throw enough or throw the right punches. You'll see what I'm talking about March 13.

No, what you have proof of is that an inferior version of Pacquaio struggled against JMM about 2 years ago. And Floyd isn't JMM in any shape or form.

Phenix, your wrong, PAc doesnt have to be set to throw his punches, that's what makes him so difficult. He's able to hit guys on the move, while his feet are in all kinds of different positions. We saw him do that against Cotto all night.

I did not say he could not punch without his feet being planted. I stated his power/knockout punch he needs his feet planted. Look at the Hatton knockout and Cotto knockdowns.

    Watch the knockdowns:

Manny's feet were not planted during either knockdown , in fact he was on the move. He got the second knockdown while moving backwards.

Notice that most his punches come in different angles, and he never has to get set to throw them.

Look at 1:37 he threw the left and both feet are planted on the floor. And the first knockdown with the right hand watch his feet.

Lol, he landed the first knockdown punch with both feet IN THE AIR.

The second one he had his feet planted for like 1/10 of a second.

It's kind of a silly argument anyway. Even Mayweather plants his feet at times to throw a punch.

It's Pac speed which is the problem. Watch the replay of the knockout's you don't even see the punches. In slow-motion they look like huge power shots. At full speed they just look like quick lightning strikes.

What are you one about? The Cotto knockdown was a PERFECT counterpunch on the chin.
