Good posts, my feeling on this: Frazier could be hit by right hands, Check out the first Bonavena fight. Maricano was faster and hit harder than Bonavena. Joe was dropped twice in that fight. he was very lucky it wasn't stopped as he really went down 3 times but the ref called the last one a slip. Maricano normally was decent at ducking (turning away from) wide left hooks, not withstanding the picture perfect short left hook that Wallcott dropped him with in their first fight. I think the hardest shots Rocky ever got hit with were straight rights. I.E. Vingo, and Moore, Frazier never really threw many straight rights, even his right was a hook of sorts. While both were slow starters, I think Rocky warmed up a little quicker, he plenty of first rd KO's. Frazier was a very slow starter. The size difference is a no biggie. Even at 205 Joe looked a little chunky. Most of weight was in his legs. Rocky liked to come in almost underweight, He was always paraniod about his weight and diet. I would bet that on fight night he was always over 190. I just don't think Joe could have gotten his biggest left Hooks to connect cleanly on Rocky. He really only could do that on stand up guys. While Rocky's short straight right hands would get home. Joe could not wear Rocky down with body shots. I think That body punching was a wash between them, both good. Same as conditioning both in great shape. Rocky could get stopped on a cut. Frazier was known to cut people up. But barring that Rocky wins by late KO in the fight of the year. :happy
