No I don't think he gets them out quicker ,in fact I wouldn't be surprised if King went the distance with Marciano like Lastarza,Mogard,Lowry x 2,Applegate did.
The same as Joe Louis and such, both were too small to hit as hard as some of the big hitting HW's of the modern era.
Vitali was stopped on cuts, MorrisonBruno, Ruddock and an older Tyson were nowhere near Charles of Walcott`s level in terms of savvy. Shavers wa not better than Charles or Walcott and had a weak chin, Qawi was not a good heavyweight and couldn`t have took Walcott`s shots, Moorer would not have beaten Charles and WAlcott and couldn`t have taken Walcott`s shots either, Berbick wal;ked straight at Tyson making him easy to KO, Holmes was more faded v Tyson than Walcott or Charles were v Rock.
I’d put Marciano around the 9.5 area for punching power...KO opponents Louis, Walcott x2, Charles, Layne, Lastarza, Savold, Don C, Archie, that line up can hang with a lot of people’s. Lewis didn’t KO Vitali and his opponents were probably a lot older then Marciano’s. That’s no disrespect to Lewis either because I put there power and ranking pretty close.
His one punch power was great and arguably the best all time. Then you add in his volume and carrying his power late into fights plus the fact he had great power with either hand and every punch in the book. Its not a stretch to say he is the best power puncher in history.
Louis was typically 15lbs plus heavier than Marciano, and he is proven at taking out big, ranked heavies.
Lastarza avoided punchers.Savold was washed up,Cokkel was kod by a middleweight,Moore was 39/40 and he never demonstrated a top chin Lewis' opponents certainly werent older than Marciano's. Quite a few stopped Cokkell,Moore Walcott,Charles ,Savold . Charles was stopped 6 times,Walcott 6 times, Moore 8. Anyone ever ko Vitali?
Who cares if he was 15lb heavier, that extra weight doesn't mean he hit harder does it? Walcott stated Marciano hit harder than Louis so it's safe to say Rocky would take out big, ranked heavies.
