Christ no. He was already brought up in a wealthy family, earned a lot of money during his career, owns multiple hotels in Mexico City, his own Boxing gym, and has been doing work for ESPN for over a year now. Barrera just doesn't know when to quit, but I'll support him through thick and thin.
he'll quit like castillo. hes a great fighter, a legend, but hes had too much fightin already and hes getting old. he'll quit for sure.
I love Barrera i think hed still be good enough to pick up a paper title against one of the lesser champs. MAYBE???? His days as an elite fighter are long gone though. Followed his career since he was a young prospect and saw many of his fights at the forum . Also was lucky enough to catch Barrera-Morales I live!!!
I think hes still alot better than Castillo. Castillo looked like **** against Gomez. Morales looks in his prime compared to Castillo.
Im only a 4 hour drive or 45 minute flite from Vegas, use to go alot in the the 90s and about 10 years ago, i saw Quartey-Vargas the next month after Barrera-Morales.:bbb Last fight ive been to though was the ODLH-Forbes fight. Was planning on going to Arreola-Adamek last week but plans didnt go through.
All these guys who fought Pacman think they can duplicate what he did. And none of them can. They lack Manny's speed.
Unfair comparison Barr/Morales were on the scene way before Pac and are older and past their prime. Manny isnt old yet. Mannys Speed will diminish in the next few years how effective do you think he will be once that happens? Manny doesnt seem the type of fighter (style wise) that will be effective at an older age, like Duran and some other greats. Hell even Chavez was still a good fighter when he was already slow, Manny doesnt have the technichal skill to do that once his natural skills fade.
He was past it way before he fough Kahn, i see right thru your ignorant and manipulative comments. Barrera is a 4 star general in the boxing world Kahn is a has barely become a sergeant.
