I'd like to know why everyone is so convinced there will be a robbery this weekend? I've yet to see Mares benefit from one.

OK the refereeing in the Agbeko I fight was disgraceful and points should have been deducted at least but there was still enough of an argument to say he won that

I took a tiny step and there conclusions lay.

Basically Mares is the fighter more likely to make people money. He's Mexican, more aggressive than Moreno, more entertaining than him as well and therefore far more likely to make people a lot of money than Moreno.

I wasn't talking about you specifically mate but on here and the other place too, a number of people have said they think Moreno will get robbed. I just don't understand how people can predict that, especially when Mares has hardly got a track record of it.

If it happens then it will be a shame. But I'm a bit surprised people are jumping to conclusions about there being a robbery

i think Moreno's style is all wrong for Mares. Great fight though.

A lot of people are sensing a disturbance in the force for this one. All the factors are in play and sometimes it can become crashingly obvious before hand. Remember Sturm vs ODLH? Even the commentators were expecting it just before the announcement.
Sometimes its just plain odd though, like Pac-Bradley
And you're right, it will be a shame.

EDIT-Obviously I hope to be proved completely wrong.

Well maybe it is more likely in a fight like this but I'm not going to let the prospect of a robbery ruin the fight. The only thing I hope is that people don't scream robbery if Mares getsthe decision in a close fight.

People always scream robbery when its a close fight ;)

Moreno should win convincingly enough, Mares lacks the craft & guile to outland Moreno & I wouldnt be surprised if he gets a bit disheartened in the later rounds.

Yes. That's another of my pet peeves. The nonsense over McEwan loosing a close fight at the weekend with people screaming robbery annoyed me greatly. The other side of the coin I suppose.
I think Mares-Moreno is an excellent match up and even if the decision is bad the fight itself should still be great.

People do but it doesn't make it any more right. I think Froch beat Kessler for example but I recognise that there were plenty of close rounds in it and people could have given it to Kessler.

Bellew-Cleverly too. Hardly a robbery as some rounds were close but I believe like most on here that Bellew won it.

    I agree :good

Looking forward to this and give Moreno the edge as I think he can frustrate Mares and capitalise on any mistakes he makes. Mares will have to outwork Moreno but I'm not sure he can get him out of his defensive groove.
