According to most, Margarito has zero chance to winl will not get out of the first or second round, but we will soon find out.

LOL, Cotto ain't that skilled. Period. Detail all this skill for me.

I have no problems with you making that statement - if it's true.

Cotto is skilled because he tactically outpointed a geriatric Mosley who stood right in front of him and used no head movement? Cotto is skilled because he body destroyed a laundry list of opponents by punching them really hard in the torso, over and over? Cotto is really skilled because he pops a jab and then dances away like he just hit the ball out of Yankee Stadium?

Cotto has good solid boxing skill but his actual talent is being outrageously overhyped.

i am not overhyping it against non other than margs..marg is a statue sure it probably wont fall down but we know cotto can win easily on points. this fight will only be competitive the first few rds then marg will get frustrated and make huge mistakes watch and see

    Hum...

Per Compubox, Mosley landed 177 power punches, Judah landed 90, together they total 267, that's the number of power punches Margarito is supposed to beat within three rounds, that's 89 power punches landed per round on average.

Now let's exaggerate the figures in Margarito's favour, say we bring up Margarito's connect rate to 30% and assume that 50& of his total output are power punches.

You do the maths but in order to beat 267 power punches within 3 rounds, Margarito would need to throw ... 1787 punches, 596 per round on average, something like 10 punches every 3 seconds...

Methinks someone here's out of his ****ing mind.

That's the gist of it. At least here on ESB.

The people have spoken and they enjoy the Kool Aid. July 26th will be a bitter aftertaste.

If Cotto can offset Margarito's rhytm and activity, he wins hands down. If Margarito goes for 1000+ punches in the fight, he wins. Its going to be a great fight.

According to someone's ingenious calculations, Tony will be going for 7000+ punches, quite the number to offset...

With a terrible connect percentage, at around 30 percent. If Cotto uses his underratted footmovement, he cut Margo's activity in half. Then lets see how great Margarito is. :hey

30% is not terrible at all. Margarito's figures are more in the low to mid 20% btw and that is considered average.
