I'm okay with this fight.. closest we'll see Chavez get to any real opponent. Margarito will fight until he has one eye .. guys is kinda crazy but he's been making 7 figures and losing..not many fighters can do that.

Chavez TKO 7. Chavez isn't a huge puncher, but he hits hard enough, and he enters the ring around 180. He'll have 15+ pounds on Margarito and do whatever the hell he wants to him en route to a TKO win by imploding Margarito's eye.

  3. Yeah he hangs eye meat out nicely...

Chavez is gonna get his ass kicked by Rubio next week. Margarito is dreaming.

It's JCCJr the one needing this fight, just taking piece of a name to show he also beat Margarito. Expectedly it will be an easy victory for Chavez over a one eyed finished fighter. :-(

he is begging and grasping for somehting significant. he knows he has been caught and found out. he is just trying to milk things for everything he can.

Exactly. Margarito is used to having a size advantage over his competition using this along with his strength to swarm them with volume, it's his biggest advantage now that his pop seems to have gone. I really can't see him doing that well against someone bigger and heavier than him (with a pretty good chin to boot), especially with that eye.

Pretty much. The people who think Margarito poses a legitimate challenge at this stage either completely refuse to give Chavez any credit whatsoever or are under the delusion that the Margarito from Cotto I is suddenly going to reappear and start walking down and hurting a guy who's practically a super middleweight.

margarito vs mayorga - highly acceptable
sergio vs margarito2 - debatable (only because margarito held a win against him)
    chavez vs margarito - unacceptable

TS assuming this fight happens, who would you prefer to win between the 2?

If Chavez can handle Rubio convincingly, I doubt there's anything the current version of Margarito brings that'll threaten Jr. Toney is way too stationary for Chavez, it'd be a massacre.

If Toney wants to have a final big fight, let it be with Alvarez, that would be much more competitive.
