Margarito got what he deserved

If he indeed used loaded gloves fo the Cotto fight, then that was the deciding factor of that beating. Though Cotto should have held here and there, it would have changed everything. How can anyone post that Margarito was the magnificent for the Cotto fight, if we don't know for sure if he cheated. Stopping Cintron twice now makes you think too.

 

The one that was outboxed for several rounds before his loaded gloves had their intended effect? Interesting. The problem is getting those looping shots to land, loaded or not.

 

The time period has nothing to do with it. Cheaters have always been around, always will.

Yes, in fact it CAN be taken from him. He is a known cheater and his credibility is shot. Why give credit to a man for what he's done, when he did it through illicit means? If Cotto had loaded his gloves, he likely would have finished Margarito in their fight, rather than the other way around. I'm not even going to speculate on that, really, because Cotto didn't cheat. I guess that's the difference.

You and the rest of the dudes left JM22 for dead Sat night, he was the only AM fan on ESB as soon as the fight ended. Why? He already beat De La Hoya with all of De La Hoya's conditions, and at 154lbs. Margarito is exposed as a cheater, and has always been the slow plodder. There was nothing to prove between those two fights.

 

Any slick boxer will have Tonys number! And for people to say Floyd ducked the best...He fought the lineal champ and a man ranked higher than Margo in Baldomir! He asked for a bout with Shane in 2006 and Shane didn't wanna fight him than! He moved up to 154 and fought Oscar to win his 6th strap in 5th weight class...All these people juss hatin..if floyd fought Mosley people would say he's duckin Cotto or Williams! Well said. Everything Margarito has "achieved" has a monstrous question mark looming over it, now. Margarito has committed a cardinal sin in the fight game, and every fighter he has "beaten" may now rightfully challenge that result.

 

Very good points. We will have to wait and see if a rematch happens. If Margarito is in fact found guilty of cheating, then that will change everything. Cotto's movement gave Margarito trouble for the first six rounds, but if he indeed used loaded gloves for that fight, then there is the answer.
