Cotto is a good fighter. He has however been overrated at times. What happened to him against Margarito and Pac was bound to happen.

The signs were there, since the Lovemore Ndou fight, to the Corley and Torres near disasters.

Cotto is a very good fighter. He has been fighting stiff competition, and thus he's had mixed results. He fought Margarito, Clottey, and now Pacquio back to back.

A guy like Mayweather has fought NO ONE in the ring top 10 welterweights, and he's considered # 2 pound for pound, while Cotto has faced EVERYONE in ring's top 5 except for Floyd, and jackasses post about how terrible he is.

Where is the incentive for a guy to take risks? If he takes risks and loses a few fights then fans call him garbage, while he can fight gimmes for years like roy jones jr and roy jones III and be considered a top pound for pound fighter.

    Kind of ****ed up.

    I completely agree 110%. Great post!:good

I've been saying it all along that Cotto has been done for a while now and is arguable one of the most overrated fighters of all time.

Agree for sure mate, I aint sure how this whole over rating business began, he was close to being taken out a few times at 140, everyone knows clottey threw the fight away at 147, when he fought he beat cotto's ass. cotto never hurt him at all

against mosley, it was poor tactics from shane and it was really tight still

Definitely most agreeable post of the day/week!!!:good
Mosley would probably obliterate PWillie in Margarito's fashion, if not worse... if Quintana did it, Mosley should be able to acomplish it easily!
Cotto has definitely acomplished a lot but it would be unfair to compareto these two since both of them have acomplished a lot as well... all 3 very good fighters!!
THANK YOU!! TRUE, as sad as it sounds.
Coming from a poster like you, what can I say....anyways, recently saw an ad in a national paper that a pharm co. is doing a research in crack babies into their teens now looking 4 new meds (anti-psychotic/delusional I guess). They provide free evaluation, meds & transportation to & from the facility, and even maybe a couple xtra bucks for your time.... it's a no lose situation for u there, buddy! Good luck!!!:smooch

Well, I think my point is valid, but probably should have used RJJ as the example instead of Floyd, 'cause he's a bit too polarizing at this particular time.

I give guys credit for fighting tough opponents even if they lose. Other examples are DLH and Mosely. They both have multiple losses, but have fought some very tough opponents.

When a top fighter challenges himself against the sport's best, he's bound to lose a time or two.

Is Robinson a bum because he lost to Jake Lamotta while he was in his prime?

C'mon NBA........ Not all the threads have to be PW threads.........

BTW, PW won't get credit for beating up on a little guy like Cotto. I like PW and Cotto, but I hope that fight don't happen. For either guys sake.
