i dont believe margo knew. he strikes me as a fair sport and a great guy, maybe a little naive. i strongly doubt he knew his gloves were loaded
I love how Divac thinks that sulfur and calcium are produced through sweat and they got onto Margos wraps even though he had yet to warm up. I know some fighters get loose before they put wraps on but most build up a little bit of a sweat by hitting the pads.
I defended Margaritto as there was no clear evidence as to what had happened other than a lot of bold caps and emoticons from either haters or people lining up to lump dirt on a man that was a force and who now will forever have a question mark hanging over his career. It appears there's a scientific analysis tabled in a report, though I still wonder if the the "plaster" was a solid mass or how it hardened the glove or if it was residual from the at least second hand bloody gauze that was in the photograph in another thread. To me, the telling line was in the article in the other thread - "in the rules it says you're only allowed tape and gauze" - Bottom line - A monumental ****up at best, criminal at worst. There are some here suggesting he had a pair of brass knuckles on or comparing it to the Resto/Collins incident which whilst similar was in my view a FAR more dangerous and criminal affair. It also doesn't explain a lot of elements of his style that were simply beyond cheating and that was ability to absorb punishment. Very disapointing.
So how was there blood on the wraps already if he only had one hand wrapped and the other hadn't been placed on yet? NOT excusing what he did - But it does raise the POSSIBILITY that the "plaster" - described as "flakes falling down" when it first came out in reports - as already being on there.
So what your saying is that if the cops pull you over and find a crack pipe in which you have already smoked crack from and there is just a small amount left that you didnt smoke crack because that crack in the pipe was leftover from the last time you smoked crack??? So in short what your saying is that Margo may have used Plaster in his last fight but wasnt intending on using it this time but it was "residual" substance left over?? You do know that ITS NEVER OK to use plaster in boxing??? So it should have never been there in the first place...Do some of you guys actaully think about or read what your writing...
