This post goes to show Eze that you jump to conclusions and dont even bother to read a post and the rationale behind it..... ......I did'nt say that calcium and sulfur were produced by sweat.....I said that I did'nt know, but that I did know that it was produced in the human body.....I dont know, and I still dont know if its contained in any amounts in sweat or not.... I know I've read somewhere that there's sulfur in the ocean.......ocean is saltwater....there is salt in our sweat.....so thats where I got the idea that sulfur may be in our sweat......but I said from the get go I did'nt know and was only speculating.... ......I"m certainly not going to take anyones word around here that sulfur or calcium in small amounts is not in our sweat..... ......and the highlighted is proof that you're not up on anything thats related to the issue of the wraps and how there were handled......Margarito did'nt have to sweat or even warm up.....the wraps were said to be used wraps from another fighter in Capetillo's gym that were mistakenly put in Capetillo's bag and then on Margaritos knuckles, thats why they were moist to begin with....... Nobody is saying that Margarito is innocent, but there are still alot of questions that have been left unanswered. I dont know about you guys, but when I condemn, I like to know as much facts as possible.....there are some missing pieces to this puzzle! ......now having said that, if upon this story getting out in news sites everywhere, Margarito does'nt come out in a timely fashion to defend himself, then of course I'm goint to have to assume that the lab report according to the state experts is true. One thing that has to be made clear here is that that state releases the findings to the CSAC, and they get to spin those findings to fit their agenda......thats why I'm saying that I'm waiting for the take of the other side before I can condemn the man. There's nothing more really to say.....if the Margarito team cannot defend the findings, then its going to be a pity that a harsher penalty could'nt be bestowed upon him due to the CSAC inspectors letting Richardson walk away unsupervised with the pads!:-(
They sure did explain it.....whether is true or not is a different matter, but Capetillo's story was that the pads were used pads that a fighter in his gym must have placed in his bag.
MOSLEY SHOULD BE SUSPENDED AS WELL FOR LYING SAYING THE PADS FELT NORMAL!!!!! <<< i'm JOKING about that, sarcasm if u will... but some of you hardhead Margo defenders sound just as ridiculous
Every fight Ive ever seen when they do any sort of pre interview 90% of the time the fighter is being wrapped or has been wrapped and they haven't even got close to looking like they were sweating. The only time Ive seen fighters sweating before a fight is AFTER they've had their hands wrapped and they are working pads or shadow boxing. Sulfur and Calcium do not come from our sweat, and no margo didn't go swimming in the ocean prior and get some on his gloves. 1. They tried to hide the wrap. 2. Trainer admission of guilt 3. Flakes off the pad 4. SULFUR AND CALCIUM MAKE PLASTER OF PARIS 5. The trainer said they were pre treated, then old used wraps, then someone elses wraps. Change story much?
Could it be that Jeff M has said something that isn't completely ****ing stupid?! I completely agree. The fighters he has beat should have that loss taken from their record (which, unfortunately would mean that Mosely/Williams et al would also have their win taken from them). ****ing make an example of the ****!! This is as bad as it gets! People are ****ing fighting each other in the ring, not (as Ricky Hatton says) having tickling contests! Death could quite easily be waiting around the corner and that a boxer would knowingly allow a higher likelihood of death or serious injury to an opponent is just the lowest of the low! ****ing make an example of the ****! Have him all over the US/Mexico/Sporting media. Take away all his achievements, constantly reference poor people like McClellen (whatever you think of him personally) and Mike Watson in articles about him. Just let the World know - boxing fan or not - just what this scumcunt did and just how any one of his fights could have finished in brain damage or death for his opponents!
:verysad The man has the audacity to call himself a champion, a Mexican warrior, and wear beads of Christ around his neck... ****ing shameless...:-( The **** end of this stick...Cotto will never be able to avenge the loss. It will be a stain on his record that he cannot erase. And something he cannot correct. Just...****in...shameless
****ing scumbag, I never passed judgement till we had some proof ... how could a boxer not know there was a plaster substance in his wraps when it was spotted by a third party. **** him, change the result on Cottos record to a win via DQ.
From another site; He was ordered to attend a hearing, along with trainer Javiar Capetillo, before the CSAC. The CSAC found that Margarito's wraps contained a foreign substance. They revoked the licenses of Margarito and Capetillo [both can re-apply in one year]. The exact nature of the foreign substance was never revealed because the hard inserts were sent to a lab for a review that would take several weeks to complete. The Los Angeles Times obtained documents from the Department of Justice laboratory which revealed that Margarito's hand wraps containted calcium and sulfur, two of the primary elements of plaster of Paris. The Times reports that a Department of Justice senior criminalist inspected the wrappings under stereomicroscope and X-ray flourescence spectrometer, and said calcium and sulfur were discovered. In his report dated March 19, he said the two found elements, when mixed with oxygen - make plaster of Paris.
Jesus please stop with the whole "give Cotto the win bull****". i am from Puerto Rico and i for one believe Margo did cheat against Cotto but the past is history and there is no way to tell if AM cheated that night....Cotto himself said the loss demonstrated that he's not unbeatable and IMO the loss only has made Cotto better. everyone talks about the state of mind for Cotto after the loss but i think he's learned from his mistakes and has improved in all aspects of his boxing skills, you will see on June 13th when he fights Clottey.
