If margo really did try to bring those rigged wraps into the ring, then he is no different then a street thug bringing brass knuckles into a 1 on 1 fist fight. The reason he did it is because of fear and lack of confidence. Why else would someone feel the need to have a little extra help? Next time somone socks you in the face, imagine they were wearing brassknuckles. Then how would you feel?

 

Doesn't matter if Margarita was attempting to protect his knuckles or not. ANY foreign substance or instrument applied to hand wraps is a VIOLATION of the boxing commission's rules. Margarita knew that. His trainer knew that. They knew the consequences so now they're about to be penalized for their actions. Ignorance of the rules is no excuse.

 

If found guilty, he should banned from the sport permanently. Adding any substance that increases the damage from punches is a serious offense. Boxing doesn't need another Collins/Resto incident.
