Arum said yesterday that Margarito is carrying the mantle from Mexico passed on from Chavez and Barrera. What about Marquez? Does anyone feel that Marquez is still in his prime and has more accomplishments than Margarito. Margie's biggest accomplishment was beating Cotto of which he said himself. Maybe I just like Marquez more as a complete and more accomplished fighter.
Marquez is certainly a more talented fighter but i think Margarito is a bigger name,beating Cotto put him firmly in the limelight
Margos win over cotto is bigger than anything Marquez has done I feel. Even though as already stated Marquez is more talented.
I don't see Chavez being ringside for Marquez fights either yet you can find him for Margarito fights and A LOT. Looks as though it's because Marquez is being promoted by GBP and we know how jealous Chavez is of DLH.
