Canelo is not an active fighter.. he picks his shots as we saw against Mosley.. He will just stand there for a long time waiting. Against Tony I can see that hurting him.. If Tony can still walk through the shots.. (and it was never a question of if he can still take a punch.. he took punches all night; his eye just failed him twice.) I could almost make a case for Tony outworking Canelo and winning a lot of rounds on activity... if his eye didn't fail him before the end of the fight.

Tony's eye failed him??? C'mon man Tony fought with one eye from round 4. The NYC doc didnt stop it until Tony had his best round & Cotto started fading bad. Fight was stopped to prevent Cotto quitting again not because of the eye
Looks like you saw the fight, funny how hate can really blind people. Cotto hit a brick wall his trainer even knew it, you want proof, watch the 7th round. Take a close look at that "loose tape" there is no sharpie marker signature on it, meaning they added that in between rounds knowing that the tape that was signed off was wet and that this would come loose to buy them more time..... Cotto gassed in that final round he was well on his way to getting stopped or taking a Knee again. Fight was close on my card I had cotto up by 1 round at the time of stoppage.
That last round he held 85% of the round, an what he did throw just didnt have the same zip and you could see he had to dig down just to throw those shots, what was funny, at the end of the round I said if the Dr doesnt stop this fight Cottos getting stopped again and sure enough. However even Margarito knew he was done, look at his gesture at the end of that last round, he motioned to Garcia cutting at his throat with the Glove saying he is all done, he even said it once he got to the corner just before he sat down. and the mother ****ing Dr saved Cottos ass, now the problem I have with this stoppage is this, the Rios Murray fight on the undercard, Murrays eyes were both shut as early as the 5th round and he was allowed to continue taking that kind of beating....
