Correct. And to add to that, Cintron is a conditional puncher as IntentionalButt described. Estrada, Margarito, and Feliciano all proved that if you get close to him, his power is everything but devestating. He needs to have full extention on his right hand to have full effect.
margarito has a chin no doubt but, Cotto is going to put in work to the body and if Margo was outboxed by Paul Williams, then he can be outboxed by Cotto too
Yes, and that being said he would be well served to learn how to step off his man and create angles that would allow him the punch distance needed to generate power. As of now he is too simplistic a fighter, effective at range but too willing to play the inside game where he smothers his power. He either needs to learn to use his jab to create distance or learn to step off of his man. Just one example: In many instances Margo would throw a wide left hook and Cintron would catch it on his glove and get baited to the inside. Instead he go under the hook and angle off with his back foot and create distance for the right hand.
I can't understand why Steward wasn't screaming at Cintron to stay on the outside after the first round on. He had no chance on the inside, yet he kept fighting in close with Margarito and Steward wasn't even letting him know how dangerous and incorrect it was. It's like he learned nothing since the first fight and Emmanuel didn't create a plan for him, instead he thought Cintron would just outbrawl Margarito for some dumb reason.
Margo is one of the toughest, most relentless boxers today. HE will come forward to you every minute of the round, plus his granitechin makes him imposiible to stop. You can slow him down, but that's about it.
