Margarito vs Mayweather

Floyd will be forced to make adjustments and Tony doesnt need to pressure Floyd to the ropes Floyd does that on his own, Floyd will be forced to change his game up in this fight, and when he finds out nothing is working nothing is keeping this monster off of him he gets stopped or quits.

There is nothing Mayweather Jr has that can dent Margarito which means its going to the cards, which means Tonys work rate will be the factor which means Tony wins the fight.

 

I am not talking Cintron again read my post, its not about Kermit its about what Tony did, no other fighter did that to Floyd Tony will and Floyd being that he has never seen that up close in the ring beleive he is going to get cracked.

again it all comes down to work rate in this fight, and Tonys work rate will win, simply becuase Floyd aint knocking Tony out, and doesnt have the work rate to win

 

Workrate is only good when you're actually landing punches. And like everyone else before him it will drop by half against PBF because of his movement, defense and ring generalship. Margo's aggression will be ineffective much like Oscar's and Hatton's was. Nullified by getting counterd and shots that were completely off their mark or blocked. Not to mention Margo isn't as effective if he can't set his feet to get off. The connect % is what is important here. Look at the connect % of PBF's opponents it's one of the lowest in boxing histroy and PBF's connect % is one of the highest. There's your fight right there in a nutshell.

And how much of those stats reflect his WW fights? Let me guess...you think Mayweather has bnot aged and STILL fights exactly the same as he does when he was 130 & 135 right?

What do you mean? Let's look at his numbers at 147 and up. What were his opponents connect % against him there then Lance? I guess Mitchell, Zab, Baldo, Hatton and Oscar all landed close to 40% huh? No no they didn't hell Hatton probably only landed 3 flush shots on PBF all fight long.
With that said I realize that Margo doesn't apply the same type of agression man. Who do you think you're debating with someone with no boxing knowledge? Margo's agression won't be effective for three reasons. One he doesn't work behind a jab like say an Oscar does and gives away his height too much. Two he can't close the distance like a Hatton could he plods and doesn't have the footwork. Three he can't cut off a ring like JLC could he follows people around too much. In the end his aggression will be viewed as ineffective with PBF making Margo miss more than he lands while he counters and hits Margo with lead right hands all the while showing his superior ring gereralship making Margo fight his fight. That's how he will win the fight and he doesn't have to hurt Margo to do it.:deal

 

None of those guys where HALF as active as Margarito, nor did they pressure him like Margarito would. Closest one could say is Little 5'6" Hatton, who for 6 rounds was even with him. And again, only Hatton attackes the body, theother are more head hunters where his shoulder roll works best. And yet for some reason youy never discuss that important tid bit. WHy does Margarito need to work behind a jab? That's not his style. Is that the ONLY way to win?

And why do you say he can't close the distance? Is that because Floyd will RUN away any time he can? He doesn't need great foot work, and one does NOT need great footqwork to win. Is that what you think? Only a fighter with GREAT footwork can beat Mayweather? Wow....they should fight on a lake, since Floyd can walk on water an all... :roll:

He has the elusive ability to keep him away enough and that strategic ability to keep the fight intermittent enough to get by. With a landslide UD. People said this about DLH and Hatton. If he could endure DLh rushing at himm for 12 rounds and Hattons swarming Margarito is not about to overwhelm him.

Margarito would find himself off balance and swinging juust to the left of his target so much he would get bored and go home.
