Margarito VS Pacquiao= Fixed Fight, IMO!

Why would Margarito agree to a fix?

Can't morons realize if Tony wins this, he's going to be in line for at least two more big money fights? Rematch with Martinez/Williams winner, Andre Berto, probably Cotto again--these are all fights that can pull him around $4M, each.

 

This fight isn't fixed. It's careful matchmaking, but not "unethical". Pacquiao will win and win big, but I don't suspect "shady dealings" whatsoever. He's just all wrong for Rockgloves.

If there ever was a fixed fight it was Mosley/Floyd. Think about it, Shane had Floyd hurt in the 2nd and between round was probly slipped a message to stop fighting altogether.

But even that, given the evidence, i dont believe was a fixed fight.

 

Round 12 was the only round that "paycheck Clottey" fought because he knew he would not get knocked out. There is no need to even mention the word "fix" because...

Clottey did not come to fight.

Clottey came to collect a paycheck.

Clottey is all but finished as a prize fighter.

Clottey is not Antonio Margarito, Paul Williams, Shane Mosely or Floyd Mayweather.

Joshua Clottey is **** and bad for boxing. 90 percent of the people that blog here with an inch of a heart and one quarter-sized testicle could have done better than "paycheck Clottey" that night. Whenever I read someone making references and drawing comparisons to the Clottey/Paq fight I immediately know that that person knows nothing of boxing.

There is absolutely nothing to take away from the Clottey/Paq fight for analytical reasons other than what a fighter looks like that is there to collect a paycheck.

If Margarito wins, Oscar wont get him any license anywhere in the US, and will be forever stuck fighting in Mexico for less money against B and C level boxers.

a loss to Margarito, sets all that back. thats why Arum and Oscar need Margarito to "throw" the fight, plus Margo will get licensed next year in CA and NV as part of Oscar's BRIBE deal.

 

I am excited to see a "Fixed" fight soon.
