I'm insane? For posting about what Capetillo testified to? Is the LA Times insane too? Is the LA Times not a reliable source now? "This is just a reporters view & NOt the offical report?" You're in denial of what Capetillo testified to. He admitted that he put plaster inserts in PADs to protect his fighters hands in training. He admitted he "accidently" put two of those used plaster training pads into both of Tony's wraps on fight night before he was caught. You need to come to grips with what happened CJ. I know Margarito is your idol but defending him to the extent you have is unhealthy. Calling my posts BS is mental - I'm simply reporting about what happened at the CSAC hearing, what Capetillo admitted to. Don't shoot the messenger, deal with what happened. If you want to argue Tony himself had nothing to do with what happened, that's one thing. But Capetillo clearly was caught cheating on multiple levels. First tape directly on the hands + using a used, discolored pad + having plaster inserts inside the pads. Those are the facts. I'm sure we'd all like to know what Sergio Diaz says about Capetillo calling him a liar for Diaz admitting he saw the block fall out. If anything comes of it? You said you'd ask them about it. If you really know Tony's people surely we'd hear from you about their response to all of this promptly. We're all waiting CJ to hear what Sergio Diaz has to say. I guess we'll find out if you really know them by this weekend when you report on what they said when you asked them about it.
It wasnt doing what he thought was right, it was what he did in almost every fight. It was his forte , cause as much trouble as possible with the opponent to unnerve him get in his head. But this time he went too far & he ruined an innocent fighters career The CSAC knew they'd goofed but hadnt the balls to admit it & an innocent mans career & good name were tarnished
C J. WILL not deliver on any response from tonys team, because he doesnt know any of them. Its all a lie.
EXACTLY!! Thee never were any "plaster blocks" only in Richardsons imagination. But its pointless arguing about it today The deed was done, an innocent mans good name & career were ruining by what turned out to be a blatant lie.
At the hearing, Capetillo revealed that he uses knuckle pads with plaster inserts inside them for his fighters to train in to protect their hands. And he admitted that he "accidently" put two of those used, training pads into Margarito's hand wraps on fight night. As a result of these admissions which are clear violations of several CSAC rules, he was suspended and had his license revoked. What more proof do you need? What part of Richardson's story or claims do you not believe?
https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-2009-nov-13-sp-cotto-margarito13-story.html At the California commission hearing, Capetillo testified his fighters use plaster inserts in training to protect their hands and these inserts must have accidentally been tossed into his training bag, and wound up in Margarito’s gloves without the fighter’s knowledge.
The full DCA report and subsequent hearing of Margarito's petition to have his licence reinstated is online. It's a lot of legal mumbo jumbo but needless to say the findings did not look favourably on Tony. I don't doubt your connection to the his team C.J nor your conviction in defending him. But your "just trust me bro" defense isn't going hold much water in the court of ESB. I dont see the point in bashing Brother Nazim when all the facts are there to read. The commission pulled his licence and upheld the decision.
I don't have a dog in this fight, but I have to say that video is sensationalist fluff. It's just a load of he said she said, with the narrator using very careful wording to lead the audience a certain direction. It's not proof of anything. The LA Times is a secondary source. You are reporting on a report of a report. You are not reporting on what happened in court that day. I read your quote, but I also took time to read the article. I noticed the LA times article also said: "Six months after Margarito battered Cotto, a California State Athletic Commission inspector confiscated hardened inserts caked with plaster of Paris in Margarito’s hand wraps before a welterweight title fight against Shane Mosley." Sounds legit...
Exactly I was about to write the same thing myself. It's obvious that very careful wording is being used to push a narrative.
