To put it into another context it would be like adding a little bit of alcohol to every drink you have on a night out. You don't notice the difference particularly with each individual drink, but over the course of the night you will feel the effects, and the day after will be horrible.

The thing is when adding something to your fists in boxing, if it's hard it's hard, and it will make the effects of a 12 round fight much harder to bear.
