I spoke with Ibrahim today and he was devastated about the result. It was s a weird scenario. He looked genuinely exhuasted at the weigh in yesterday and there was some merritt in his reluctance to have a needle stuck in his arm 24 hours out from the fight. Only he will know if he was already aware of the possibility of failing the serology test.
Maybe he's got visions of 2 inch needles stuck in his arm & 2 minutes to draw sufficient blood?? These days needles are all of 5mm & takes all of 5 seconds.
Hate to think what he'd be like if ended a Diabetic - 2 needles @ tip of finger(s) + 2 in bread basket each day
Um, Da Voice, sorry but reading this post i have to get the facts right - Hep A, B and C are all caused by different viruses. Yes, Hep A is usually food-related whereas Hep B and C are transmitted by infected body fluids. Having one of them does not make you immune from the other and one condition does not progress to the other. In all cases though, the liver is affected to differing severity. There is a vaccine to guard against Hep B but not Hep C atm.
well they then shouldn't be such tight arses and spend the money on an extra nights accomod. fark all in the scheme of things.
Poor *******. He had a great camp and then this bull**** happens. Mark can't catch a break. Someone like the iron rhino would jump in with him in a flash.
It was a useless fight log filler at best for Mark. My advice to Mark is simply time to get back here in Oz here & start fighting the likes of Hoppa & Co............you never know you might just get tested. The overseas experience has really achieved **** all!
The same as he is now - manny has jail house tats on his body....he loves needles more than hates them.
Trouble is being with King you cant just chose who you want to fight, King has to approve for some stupid reason and he is known for sayin ok then pull the plug on it in the last 2 weeks, he did it heaps to Briggs.
Well King must think that OZ Heavyweights can fight if Mark isn't fighting any of them so that's a good thing for our level down under.
I have a massive issue with needles, call me a bit*h but you wont get near me with one. Havent had a blood test ever, even for the boxing medicals they always let me off when i told them i had Trypanophobia (imense fear of needles). Urine tests no problem. I watched a mate in hospital get a drip inserted and fainted, fell flat on my face, woke up with a busted nose and chipped tooth, and the doc had another needle in my face! Nearly knocked him out cold!
