Sibson had moved to Warren, hence Kaylor going another route under the infamous Cartel (Duff, Lawless, Astaire and Barrett).
Incidentally, Sibson and Graham fought as amateurs: Sibbo licked him.

Didn't know that Sibbo and Graham fought as amateurs. Can you tell us any more about it?
From memory Kaylor and Christie shared either 83 or £86000 which was a good payday back then for a non title bout.

The amateur judges need not like Graham's hand down style[ this was the 70s after all], and would and did judge against Graham harshly in those days.

That was a record purse for any British eliminator, huge when you consider it was near 25 years ago. Kaylor was fined 10,000 and Christie 5,000 for the pre-fight punch up, and there was also a lot of racial tension on the build up to the contest, but thankfully the event was more or less trouble free. I listened to the bout on the radio[the fight was shown the next night on Sportnight], and was rooting for Kaylor. That night I went to bed a happy chappie having listened to one of the most exciting British eliminators in history.

I'd guess Sibson would have been a bit more seasoned than Graham when they met? he was few years older older.

Kaylor was being egged on by a West Ham 'mate'. It was racist, and Christie, ironically, won the pre-fight brawl when he pinned Kaylor to the floor. Writer Harry Mullan stuck a huge bet on the fight to end inside three rounds (either way) and looked on to a winner when both men went down in the first, but it turned into an eight-round war which essentially finished Christie.
As for Sibbo and Graham, they fought on a Belgrave ABC show in Leicester in the 1970s and Sibbo won on points. Graham, contrary to the popular Sheffield myth, is from Nottingham.

I remember at the time there was a great photo of Christie on top of Kaylor with Kaylor pulling at Errol's tie as they rolled around in the middle of the High street, [ the punch-up happened after the press conference].
