My point is that whyte is an over rated b level fighter, who has noW fallen short twice Against decent opposition. Ps he’s a drugs cheat so I hope I head is sore this morning
The same writer was talking about how "promises have been broken" & Whyte " has been treated cruely"...it sounded like the hack was trying to manafacture a wedge between matchroom & Whyte. I have no particular like for either or Warren promotions...but from where Im standing Eddie has done a masterclass marketing Whyte in a weak division. The way writer told it like AJ-Whyte was Lyle-Foreman revisited.
Of course they do. Trainer doesnt just turn up for the fight, its the whole camp, gameplans, drills, conditioning, mentality, strategy. Someone doesnt just sit there the bight ofbthe fight with a pen and paper and sat this is what I want you to do in the ring tonight. Its a long process of breaking down opponents weaknesses and working on ways to exploit them with combination drills, working on defence, footwork etc and making sure diet, cardio etc are all on the button. If younhave a trainer who is unprepared, doesnt know your strengths and weaknesses or just isnt up to task then your gonna get the whole camp wrong and this will have a huge impact on the fight. Maybes he wpuld have still got sparked or maybes he would have been clued up on Povetkins tricks and combated the punch better. We'll never know but to write it off as something that has no impact is just silly talk.
As many have already said, Dillian was due to get ironed out at some point. However, we shouldn’t completely overlook the Tibbs situation. From the first round Dillian was looking out the ring to Caldwell for instructions and not the Man who he made his head trainer. The very fact that they brought Dave in so close to the fight, indicates there was a level of anxiety leading up to the fight. If Mark was with him maybe, just maybe Dillian might have been more sure of himself and Tibbs could have kept him focused and composed. It will be interesting to see what he does trainer wise going forward.
He could've had Mark Tibbs or Terry Tibbs in his corner the other night..... he was boxing well and just got caught with a superb shot that would've dropped a horse. Heavyweight boxing, it happens. Clearly from the AJ, Rivas and now Povetkin fights he needs to work on not getting caught through the middle with the uppercut. He seems to fall in fairly often and clearly is susceptible to that shot.
