In their initial careers, morales had the better resume. It just depends on how history will view JMM's late rise to the top at such a late age. Its a shame he couldnt ever get a win over pac, especially when he won more rounds against him the first two times and schooled him the third.

I will say morales but Im biased.

It is just icing on the cake. I mean he surprised everyone, I thought he was going to get his ass kicked and he comes in there flabby yet having better stamina than the younger guys. Came so close to beating Maidana when everyone thought he was going to get KTFO.

If you look at it objectively JMM edges it, but on this forum its impossible as Morales is greater than SRR.

I do love Morales myself as well though, so its hard to go against him.

It is a very tough call though.

Morales does have the superior names and wins on his resume.

But I did score all 3 fights against Pac to JMM. Now if JMM had those wins, I'd say him as well.

But Morales' list of names is quite impressive.

When you take all robberies away it really shows how good they are behind the smoke and mirrors

    Morales -

1-2 in close fights with Marco Antonio Barrera
    1-2(2) against Pacquiao
robbed against Diaz and Maidana when he was out of his prime
rightfully a 5 weight world champion

    Marquez -
Robbed of 3 wins against pacquiao and questionable decisions to lesser fighters
wins a against Diaz 2x, Katsidis, Barrera
1 sole loss to Mayweather JR. and an early DQ loss
rightfully a 4 weight world champion

It is close but that said they share the best name, and JMM won it at least twice.
Morales also is on the losing end of the trilogys + the Raheem loss hurts him.

Diaz robbery was rediculous though and i thought he edged Maidana.

I still think JMM edges it but it is a close call, once again though on ESB Morales is God and would KO prime SRR :)

With these two, I think it comes down to preference.

Marquez should barely rank higher. Their best wins probably rank like this:

    Morales

    -Pacquiao
    -Barrera
    -Chi
    -Ayala
    -Jones
    -Kelley
    -McCullough
    -Zaragosa

    Marquez:
-Pacquiao (unofficially in the third fight)
    -Barrera
    -Diaz
    -Jaurez
    -Casamayor
    -Norwood
    -John

On paper Morales has the better names. But Marquez performed better against Pacquiao, that's the difference between their resumes.

Tough question to answer as both have done so much. I think there is so much going for both that you could argue either way, depending on who you like for what.
