Man, JMM sounds like a ****ing sour grape. What a classless way to act. He was the visitor in our country yet he had the gall to act that way??? Props to Manny for being a class act.

Marquez was great yesterday. Everyone watching with me laughed, and cheered Marquez on.

The guy felt he was robbed, so he only felt it right to speak his mind (and I agree with his sentiments).

the laugh at the background doesn't mean anything to offend marquez. they knew that the fight was close and probably some of them scored the fight for marquez. the laugh was more for the situation where they think is funny when marquez was asking pac in his face for the rematch. the guys in their are having a good-time while pac was in an awkward situation.

well, he was quite straight-forward and probably rehearsed what he was gonna say to pac when he meet him in manila. i was also laughing my ass off when abs-cbn showed the encounter. :rofl pac really was cornered there. but he handled the situation nicely.

marquez for his part is not that annoying. he was also funny too especially when he asked for the paper so that pac can sign immeadiately. lol :D

pac was very gracious, humble and respectful in that interview. he showed a lot of class in front of someone who generally didn't.

pac acknowledges that the fight was very close, could've gone either way and was "lucky" to get the razor-thin split decision. that shows a lot of humility on his part, graciousness and respect for his opponent even in his own homeland. sadly, jmm who was the visitor was the opposite.

pac handled that interview well and was very professional in a very ackward situation. pac did say that he had no probs w/ another rematch and he will fight jmm anytime, anywhere. he also said that his job as a fighter is to train/prepare hard, get in shape and fight in the ring while it's the promoters who arrange and negotiate the fights. he also added that in these type of close fights, there will always be a winner and a loser.

yep. manny showed he was really a class act in this interview in front of his own people. being in his own land, he could have easily took the low road but he didn't. that's why his countrymen and boxing fans in general should be very proud of him.

Because there is nothing new that can be seen with the third fight. We will still see the bottom of JMM kissing the canvas then may outbox Pac. However, this time, JMM might be a little older each time he battles Pac, like Morales.

Skillwise, Pac will never equal JMM but he is fast catching up with him. For a supposedly master counterpuncher, outhitting a supposedly "one dimensional by a dozen in a 12 round fight is not really dominating considering that you were knocked down once and wobbled several times.

A third fight would not give us anything except probably to accelerate the ages of these fighters. It is just like Marquez vs. Vasquez trilogy, nice for the fans but totally detrimental to the fighters (wait until the next vasquez fight against an A fighter and you will see what I mean).

Pac are evenly matched with one's strength negating the strength of the other. JMM's counterpunching and MP's power and speed. If the two would fight ten times, the results would have an eeirily similar scenario.

yep. to their credit, both pac and jmm made light of a very awkward situation with their humor and antics. but still jmm said a lot of things there which are very inappropriate being a visitor to pac's own country. pac was definitely the class act here.

good post. as much as i want a conclusion, it would be very hard since both of them compliment each other and are equally matched. that's why, as a fan of pac, i would want to see him first in the lightweight division to achieve greater heights and legacy.

He's like Danny Glover in the movie "SAW", the loss is eating slowly away at him. If you asked me, the guy looked desperate for a rematch. Fighting a guy like Marquez back to back will make him old really quickly. I think Marquez II fight took a lot out of him..If ya ask me
