    Anyone see this?

    Is this not stupid?

Who did De La Hoya use for Mayweather? (hint: he works for Golden Boy)

"In Mexico it has been almost impossible to find sparring partners with the style of Mayweather, but I believe that what is most important here is that Juan is working on his own style and if Juan puts in the work, there could be a big surprise [on September 19]."

    Nacho Beristáin, August 2009

"It is difficult to find sparring with his style, but the boys here are doing well because what we need is to work with is speed and not so much with power. The plan will be to work a lot with speed. We will continue sparring by throwing a lot of punches in six to eight rounds sessions, and we will look to throw more when I work the mitts."

    Juan Manuel Marquez, August 2009

Shane could recreate the speed factor sure, but not the defensive prowess of mayweather, that is the hard part i think. then who can emulate this? Not many fighters i can think of that JMM could spar who are on mayeather's level defensively.

Good man. The defense would never come across, too true. Nonetheless, Mosley, we have been told, is a master mimic. He can give the Mayweather look as good as anybody, and has. He's also the right size, exactly what Marquez needs. Too bad he's a rich superstar and apparently not an option.

Why is Marquez even training in Mexico?......The reason why fighters from overseas train here in the States is because they get the necessary sparring they need.

Oscar had Ivan Calderon and Shane Mosley as sparring partners, which was smart, Marquez should have trained in the States, in places like Southern California or Houston he would get better sparring partners who can slightly emulate Mayweather.

dont really matter mayweather's ability to fight go backwards and sniper right hand cant be mimicked. let alone defensive shoulder roll, in a nut shell, Marquez is screwed.

Yeah i agree with Joan Guzman. His defensive skills are only second to his great skill of making big fights fall through (though not always his fault).
