getting mighty sick of seeing people even suggest marquez landed a lucky punch on pacquiao to ko him

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqcrmP6HbI4

    0:34 seconds

here we see marquez's sparring partner mimic pacquiaos usual routine combination of double feint jab, straight left

we see marquez answer in the exact same fashion as he did when he ko'd pacquiao

this was done in the training camp leading up to the 4th fight with pacquiao

so can we finally agree it was an excellent well timed counter that marquez had learnt over the many many many rounds he had shared inside the ring with pacquiao

at the end of the day both fighters will be ALL TIME GREATS, first ballot hall of famers. i just wanted to clear up the "lucky punch" myth

there is no such thing as a lucky punch in boxing, the only people who believe JMM landed a lucky punch are the ultra-radical *******s

    Not a lucky punch.

Well timed, drilled right hand that was always going to hurt.

It was no more a lucky shot than the first KD Pac got in JMM/PAC 1.

Pacquiao was winning the fight but then boom.......

It wasn't a lucky punch but it was a punch that was intended to KO the opponent.

It was lucky. Look at jmm expression After the Ko.

The man knew he just won a jackpot.

He was more surprised than anyone.

It wasn't lucky at all. He's been timing Pac with that right hand every time they have fought, only difference this time was Pac launched himself into the punch increasing it's power. People have been saying for years that if someone caught Pac jumping in like he does he'd be in trouble and we saw the perfect counter punch landed.

Yep, thats why I always laughed at a Mayweather vs Pac fight. Mayweather would get Pac out of there like he did Hatton.

All that lunging Hatton and Pac do, is perfect for Mayweather.

Correction: There is rarely a such thing as a lucky punch in PROFESSIONAL boxing.
In MMA or amateurs, there are plenty of lucky punches. :yep

Marquez threw the same punch at least 6 thing in that fight. The last time he threw it, he had the timing just right and caught Pac coming forward, right into it.
The punch was not lucky, but very well planned, timed, and perfectly thrown.

Pacquiao got reckless and Marquez took advantage of it as a first class counter punch should. Marquez waits for opponents to get reckless or make mistakes to counter, that's his fighting style. Nothing "lucky" happened there.

It was a well timed straight right, it's delusional pacquiao and his die-hard fans that can't accept reality.

Manny and PAC fought 4 times. 3 close fights and only one fight with a clear winner.
TKO 6, no room for lucky punch.
