Marquez should just sign the fight at 147 and......

Marquez was at 144 or 145 against Katsidis, he won't drain himself down to 139-140 if he fights Pac at 147.

On fight night it'll be Marquez at 145, Pac at 148. If they are both at their best weight.

 

Marquez is not the same fighter he once was when he fought Pacquiao at 130 pounds. Marquez was kd by freaking Kats and his eye was obviously close shut thanks to feather fisted Diaz. <<<This proves he's way past his prime. Pacquiao facing him at this time is a waste of time. I say Pacquiao should just retired and focused more on the congress cause facing either Over the hill Marquez, over the hill Mosley, Unproven Berto, shake chin Bradley doesn't prove anything.

Marquez gets busted up far worse then Pacquiao in both last 2 fights. Pacquiao fought much bigger fighters while Marquez fought fighters basically the same size. <<So that tells me Marquez is clearly way past his prime in which at this time he will get ko by Pacquiao.

If Marquez doesn't get the fight with Pacquiao, he'll get a fight with someone else and give us another great performance in an exciting affair like he always does. IMO, between the three possible opponents for Pac (FMJ excluded), JMM should and must get the nod. JMM has the bigger fan base, deserves the shot to fight Pac first. Pac stated he'll fight 3 more years so the others will still get a crack @ MP. C'mon GBP and TR, make this happen.

I doubt that JMM would get up if he got hit by a 168 pounds Margarito. That is more than 20 pounds difference. Power is mass (weight) x speed in physics. Evene a slow heavyweuight punches harder than the fastest welter because of that. Which reminds ome of the punch Big George threw against Moorer - slow as hell but a KO just the same.

 

Bit different getting hit by huge welterweights/light middleweights than Casamayor or Katsidis, wouldn't you say?

Offer was about 1.4 million but team JMM price out at 3 million. He tried to stay active by defending his title but was stripped of his title when not one promoter met the $50 000 minimum to promote the fight. With no real fight or opertunity he landed in Indonesia fighting John for 50k.

JMM could have made millions more then what he has made and Pac might not be where he is had JMM team not screwed him out by outpricing.
