Marquez vs. Cotto

I think a Marques vs. Cotto fight wud be a great fight, both smart fighters and strong punchers. And IMO i think if marquez steped up to Welter and challenged Cotto it wud overshadow Pac's step up to old de la hoya. Any thots???:thumbsup

 

It would be great for as long as it lasted, but Marquez won't be able to keep the much stronger Cotto honest, and therefore would inevitably be stopped fairly early.

 

Cotto would be too strong, too big and too good for Marquez.

Everybody thot Pac would get killed and proved us wrong, and i know cotto aint an old quiter w a sissy laugh but anything can happen.

 

it would play out alot like the diaz JMM fight and cotto is stronger and hits harder than diaz and would get the KO in the mid to late rounds imo

 

cotto would part a brutal beating on marquez.

 

Cotto would smash Marquez as easily as he'd smash Pacquiao. Not a good and competitive fight at all.:verysad

 

Cotto is the favorite. Marquez's only chance is to hurt Cotto coming in with some stiff counter shots. Other wise Cotto smothers him to late round stoppage.

 

Cotto beats Pac and Marquez pretty easily. I believe Mayweather would destroy Pac and Cotto would do the same to Marquez because of their styles.

 

marquez is the better technical boxer, but i agree with everyone before me. cotto's too big, too strong, and would fairly easily knock out marquez.

 

Cotto would be too much for JMM.
