Khan will never be the fighter JuanMaMa is. The latter, in fact, is a future HOF fighter. I sincerely doubt the former will ever attain a similar status.

However, I wonder whether JMM has enough at this stage of his career to hold off the much younger, taller opponent.

I think too many folks are getting seduced by Khan's reach advantage at the expense of JMM's overall boxing skills. He's still the better fighter, though Khan presents him with some unique challenges. I still say JMM, who's one of the 3 smartest fighters I've ever seen, makes an adjustment that allows him to counter or get to Khan to either hurt him repeatedly or get the stoppage.

I think Khan is too smart to be trading shots with JMM and too fast. He has too many things to his advantage that favor him, but the 130lb version that beat Pacman twice would of destroyed Khan. I think this new, more defensive version of Khan takes a decision over JMM. JMM's best days are behind him, he's still dangerous, but Khan has shown he has very good boxing skills. Khan the boxer will do much better than Khan the ko artist.

I'm sorry dude, but JMM did not look like a fighter passed his prime saturday night. He seemed like a fighter who's in every bit of his prime. It get's tricky at age 36 though because you can immediately look old in your next fight. Khan has most of the physical advantages in the fight, but he doesn't have the savvy, smarts and overall boxing skills that JMM has.

This will be a one-sided beatdown from Khan, he will stop and retire JMM for good if this fights gets made.

I hope JMM fights Katsidis and stays at 135.

With plans of Bradley-Alexander facing off end of Jan next year, GBP might have to put that fight together with Maidana in Dec, then the winners can face off next year summer.

I saw plenty of mileage left on that clock. The dude can still mix it up. This would be a very good coming of age fight for khan and also teach him lots more than fighting some other supposed threats at 140.
