    A British show...

Most of our PPV's will have two cards if there is one from the US...

We always get at least 7 hours of coverage and all for just £15 :happy

I don't think the Brits will fly back to Vegas and watch two boring fighters waiting it out in a chess match.

Probably if you look at the whole of England as one region (i.e. east coast, west coast, etc...) or "one major city" it is well worth a stop over just for the population density. I am sure they can get as many PPV buys as any decent sized American city. Also it is a market with only upside as boxers gain name recognition.

The common link to Hatton made this a necessity. The winner will fight Pac. Not overlooking JMM, but if it is Mayweather all the more name recognition for the British fans.

American football isn't "all that" overseas, but it sells out in England (and Mexico). The NFL is going there for a reason. Why not boxing?

Not a lot mate to be honest. And to be fair this probably wont be PPV over here. Big fights are rarely PPV unless there's a Brit involved, due to it not really being a mainstream sport and the time (roughly around 4am) of the fight

Thanks. Some wondered why the tour went there, but I'm sure they had their reasons. Maybe they just like the sunny weather this time of year? :D

Ha nowhere in the UK is 'guarenteed' sunny weather at any time :)

I think it probably has quite a lot to do with the way British boxers like Hatton (especially) and Calzaghe have such a passionate and loyal following that they believe they can try and tap into that. I mean Mayweather is pretty much a household name over here now after he beat Hatton. Hatton was/is the 'Media Darling' of UK sportin - especially on a Global scale - so it was big news when Floyd KO'd him so there probably hoping his name will create some extra publicity over here and a UK TV company will pay a bit more for the rights to show it ?

    Or Maybe not :)

check ur sources...After Floyd fought Oscar he became bigger than Pac is now....Lets not forget Floyd has done pretty good #'s even when fighting Judah who was comin off a loss-Baldomir who was only known by hardcore boxing fans really-2.4 million with Oscar while Pac did 1.8 or so....He also beat Pac over hatton with 915,000 to Pac's 850,000...Alot more people know who Mayweather is over alot of other fighters actually...
