    No, you don't "need" anything.

These guys would punch themselves ******ed. Why would you want["need"] that?

But it seems they want it, so I guess.

They will fight again. They've given us awesome fights but it shouldn't happen. They've beaten the snot out of each other to the point there will be permanent damage.

I agree that a fourth fight would be brutal. But who else do they have to fight? Neither one belongs at 126. I'd like to see them take a break from the ring, take a break from each other, and hey, maybe do it again late next year...

I didn't mean to take anything away from these two great warriors. Yes, it was very close, but I have a feeling Marquez gave everything he has left as a fighter in that fight and in that last round. He will never be the same after this fight. If they fought again he would only be more past his prime.

That last round was amazing. Rafael was doing everything he could to survive, he looked like he was dying in there. Vazquez finished beautifully and did it.

It's interesting that if the ref didn't take away that point for the low blow that wasn't even low, this fight would have been a draw. Wow. What a beautiful ending that would be to this great trilogy.

A fourth fight would be a bad deal for Marquez. He has been the underdog in each one, and doesnt have the power to stop Vasquez. Vasquez's chin is too solid.

Whats with all the hyperbolic bull****? Three very tough fights, yes, but it pales in comparison to what someone like Harry Greb went through. Even more recently, look at the careers of Gatti or Ward or Corrales. These guys didn't end up "******ed" and it's probable that Marquez and Vazquez won't either. Brain damage does not happen to everyone, and from the interviews at the end, both men showed they didn't have any problems speaking or whatever, so they'll be fine after a rest for a while.

Maybe "need" is the wrong word, though.

agreed. Marquez he really gave it his all in that one and wouldn't be able to put forth such an effort in a 4th.

a close 12 round decision is always controversial.

i hope for both their sakes that a fourth fight doesn't happen. they have already caused so much damage to each other. a fourth fight will render these permanent.

it was very close but vasquez deserved the win by a point or two. marquez ran out of gas in the championship rounds culminating in that KD in the 12th.

A fourth fight would/will be an early KO victory for Vazquez, so not too much worry about further sustained damage for either guy from me. :yep

I don't know, sounded like Vasquez was a little slurred to me, even when he was speaking Spanish. But that's just me.

I agree on Vasquez winning the 4th fight if it ever happens.... The last round has to make Vasquez feel like he can knock out Marquez again if they fight.
