Im just saying that if Those headbutts cut Pac they can also cause swelling on someones head, im not denying that pac landed some hard shots that could have done it also but the fact of the matter is its not a beauty contest, Marquez won the rounds, therefore he won the fight but Arum robbed him, he even went up to him after and said "its just business" according to an interview with JMM.

Seriously stop trying to defend a guy whose lost 3 times now

Your either a troll or a *******, I cant tell. Pacquiao won the 1st round on some peoples cards by throwing punches in the air, I had the first 3 rounds to Marquez.

Im tired of arguing about this and would rather talk about something else so im going to end it with this

    116-112 Marquez

    Toprank wants Marquez 4

Roach told Pac he needed the KO

    *******s are ******ed

    Goodnight

Actually, look no further than Pac-JMM 1 and 2.
Both times, Pac's face was damaged.

If you want to look at recent fights, look at Pac-Cotto, Pac-Margarito and (gasp!) even Pac-Clottey.
Pac's face swell up easily and has been always known to get cut easily.

Which is a testament to Pac's improved defense and timing when, at the end of Pac-JMM 3 fight, his face still looks fresh and clean outside of that nasty wound caused by an accidental clash.

The butts and a few big lefts caused the damage to Marquezs eyes around both eyebrows. Below, Pacquiaos punches did the damage.

"Just look at the state of his face"......:rofl

    Lewis is a fcking legend.

And Merchant is, was, and always will be an *******.

Lord do I miss when the heavies were exciting.

Edit : With that said, it's all about clean effective punching. Disregarding points being taken off for damage (Extremely rare), and stoppages due to damage as we see in this video, there really isn't an argument for "swolleness".

In all honesty I believe what both surprised and influenced people were the unexpected amount of vocal Mexican fans at the MGM, as a loud rowdy crowd reacting to one fighters every move can sway opinion.
I had to watch 2 times to make sure of the outcome as I was confused by the dominant JMM support.

Secondly, fans were subconciously venting built up anger from several recent expensive PPV events that failed to live up to months of hype.
Here people believed this to be the sure fire war and when it didn't happen the tides turned on Pacquiao who is the star.

Things have a funny way of correcting themselves and the reaction is extremely harsh. I expect Pac to impress going forward based on his display of prime speed and reflexes.

because jmm was not putting everything behind his punches for fear of over committing and being countered. he could have kd pac if he put more power behind those so-called clean effective punching. he was trying to win points and avoid the kd at all cost. that was the strategy.

His defense. He blocked and used footwork to avoid monster shots that I think won him the fight by tiring Marquez out squashing his activity in half the later rounds.
He also conserved his own energy by focusing on shorter punches. You could see a decent stepping on the gas rds 8-12.
    Very cute performance, very unflashy.
    what did you think ?
