And your latest thread title ''Mayweather/JMM 2 would be a great fight at the twilight of their respective careers.'' Make your damn mind up! :nut Are you trolling or are you laughing at Marquez being a potential opponent like most of us who can see Marquez doesn't have a style to trouble Mayweather, he's an elite counter puncher, he's an aggressive fighter to create openings when he can catch the other guy, he is no good against the style of Mayweather, he had massive trouble with Bradley AFTER knocking Pacman out and being this resurgent beast, he has nothing for Floyd, he probably won half a round and he'd win 2 at most now.
Meh, he has a better chance than before since he wouldn't have to move up or down in weight and it won't be the first time he'll be fighting in that weight class.
Marquez did not fight well. I think he would have done better in a rematch. He was not yet comfortable at that weight. He got a big payday though. So, rematch? Mayweather would have won but it would have been closer.
Marquez lost horribly, but he still landed some decent right hands every now and then....still no interest in seeing a rematch though
It might be a little bit more competitive but will eventually end up the same. Marquez is a counter puncher, that style simply can't beat Mayweather's style. Mayweather needs an overly active opponent to be troubled.
