Martin Lindsay v. John Simpson

I actually think that their styles would gel more than Simpson-Smith and make for a better fight

I fancy Lindsay to win this one. Probably on points. Glad Lindsay is stepping back up and fighting the best in the featherweight division domestically. His inactivity is a bit disappointing. He should be fighting more than just twice a year at this stage of his career.

 

im not a big fan of simpson but if he can make super bantam safely,would he not be best moving down?

I mean hes strong at feather if he could take that strength with him...

 

Lindsey with a late stopage. He looks strong in the division and hopefully we will see more of Lindsey now he has a new promotor. Its a shame Hayemaker never got a deal when Setanta went bust as they had some stable of fighters that were doing well at the time. At least they moved away instead of the Hennessy fighters to get more fights.

 

I honestly see this close on the cards man 50/50 .Hope Simpson starts fast man and digs for the fight of his life

 

Very tough 1 to call this for me, would love to see John win the fight and take the belt but Lindsay is no mug and each time i've seen him on Sky/Setanta he has been excellent.

I'd just hope that John has a fire within him at the moment after losing out cruelly in my eyes to Smith that gets him going right from the first bell and doesn't invite Lindsay onto him.

Fight is supposed to be by end of November so i hope John gets the win but gonna be a very tough fight to call.

 

Simpson with his come forward style, is tailor made for Lindsay, who will outbox and counter him all night long, chalking up a wide UD at a wild Ulster Hall, see yiz there :good

:shock: wat! us nordies are decent folk, we'd never riot. i'd tend to agree with ultimate buzz, i think simpsons style would suit lindsay. lindsay ud with simpson having his moments.

 

I'd love it to be Simpson and he'll be getting my full support but Lindsay takes this by decision.

This'll be a pearler of a fight though can't wait... hopefully Simpson's pressure proves too much for Lindsay
