Over last few years averaged out like this: 1 Macklin 2 Murray 3 Barker (irrelevant now, retired - whether he realises it or not!) But I would give a fit Barker a good chance to beat Murray.
To be honest who cares. IF Murray wins it opens up those big time fights of Murray v Macklin or Murray v Lee for a World Title of sorts. I cant stand the super and regular champion stuff think its bull****. Quigg being called a World Champion when Rigondeaux is the super champion is madness they will never ever face each other. As for Murray v GGG chances are that they could but after Murrays last fight it would be late next year.
Wot a surprise Len, I never would have guessed your ratings. Andy Lee as "super" champ above them all I presume, does that go without saying?! This is a ridiculous fight but Murray deserves it. He's the man who beat the man, the lineal champ, however much of another planet GGG is on.
Martin Murray v Jarrod Fletcher for a 'world title' my god when Murray found that out I bet he started believing in Santa again.
Dunno where you seem to get the impression that I rate Andy Lee so highly?? -- I dont at all. As I have said repeatedly, Andy has plateaued at a level well below the others.... What "man who beat the man" is Murray? Im confused here?? :thumbsup
So how come Jarrod Fletcher get's this shot? what's he done to earn it? Although I know it only an 'Interim'
I respect Murray, good fighter, obviously he has to take the opportunity. But Lets face it its a paper title just like Quigg's. WBA are a joke.
Does the fact that Murray is fighting yet another overmatched council-worker really warrant a 5-page thread? I know its the silly-season and all, but dont ye have anything else to bother ye???
What an absolute joke of a fight for a "world title". Murray deserves a shot after his very close fights v sturm & Martinez but somebody please explain to me what flethcher has done to deserve a world title shot?
