    I would rather see Martinez fight Pirog then Floyd. At least Pirog is a Middleweight.

    Nah because that wouldn't be a huge announcement/boxing story for Iole. And Martinez specifically stated Pacquiao or Mayweather in that Argentina article or what ever it was.

    Also maybe the reason why they are willing to pony up money to Martinez is because they are looking to compete with Mayweather in negotiations.

    Why the **** not?? Money is money, and its not like Sergio is a super star draw here.


    If it makes more money in Russia why not?? Sergio is an Argentine that spent alot of his career in Spain of all places....Largely the dude can go to Russia, and fore a mega payday should....

    Martinez needs to stop holding out for the WW fights because theyre nt in his division, he should be focusing on his own legacy trying to clar out the MW division. If this report is true and he does not take up the offer it will show his real faith by promoters and the like.

    He is not a top 3 p4p by knocking out a good but over rate williams and beating acoholic pavklit and leap frogging cintron.

    Hey Im all for it, but Im not so sure Martinez would be willing to fight in Pirog's backyard.

    Im really hoping for this fight.
    This fight is better than vs Mayweather imo as Floyd is a WW and Sergio a MW

    Never understood why these kind of threads cause so much of a stir. People start hating on Sergio all of a sudden. End of the day, the guys IS the no.3 p4p (closely contended by Donaire), and never ceases to entertain in his fights. Don't really see the need for people to start kicking off on him for absolutely no reason.

    Mayweather/Pirog are both massive fights whether you like it or not. Pac is a little too small, the only fair weight would be 150 where neither of them fight at their peak but it'd still be a massive event, and an intriguing fight.

    Barker
    Dzinziruk
    Williams
    Pavlik
    Williams
    Cintron

    Give the lad some slack!

    Only 3 fights make more sense Pacquiao, Mayweather, and Cotto. If he can't get any of those fights then he better back all the talk he's been doing about how they are afraid of him and fight Pirog.
