They fought at a catchweight of 150.. Pacquiao weighed in at 144.. Margarito is bigger than Pacquiao, but is able to compete at a lower weight level.. It wasn't too long ago that he was at welterweight.. Martinez may be the same size, but he can barely even make 154lbs anymore.. Just because they are the same size, doesn't mean Margarito can automatically fight at 160.. In fact, I see Margarito getting dominated at 160.. Margarito and Martinez are completely different.. Martinez is a way better boxer, but too big.. If Martinez want's Pac, he can take his ass down.. Why does Pac have to come to him?

Yes, Pac is fighting people who aren't exactly in their prime, but he's trying to fight Mayweather, who in return won't.. Why aren't you trash talking on him? Why's it all Pac's fought?

Muscularly, Martinez is way bigger than Margarito. Martinez can't go below 154 anymore, Margarito can manage to get to 150.

You have to take these things into context.

Pac tried fighting above the welter weight division ONCE. Even though he won, he got seriously hurt and realized the size disadavntage is too much for him and decided not do it again. That's why he vacated that jr middle weight title and declared that welterweight is as high as he can get.

Why should Pac go up to fight Martinez? Pac has as much leverage to ask him down to his division.

 

Difference is that no matter how much big Margarito was Roach and pac team new he was to slow to put that size advantage to use... Not so with Martinez hes fast enough to get to Pac and they know this... THats why they didnt want Mosley but know that his reflexes and speed have left the old fighter they feel they can handle him... Pac is gonna beat Mosley but ive always felt a prime Mosley would have taken Pac.

Because Martinez is a great boxer with a huge size advantage whereas Margarito just has a huge size advantage. To fight someone with a huge size advantage you need to make the most of other advantages, Pac won't be able to do that against Martinez.

All the numbers you pointed out just showed Martinez to be bigger unless divisions are based on height now! Then caballero should be a mw too.

Margarito can easily make 150 and and fought at 147 very recently.

 

I am neutral on this *****,******* feud.... Although i think Matinez probably beats both .. I think Floyd has a better chance than Pac... Cant see Pac with his style staying out of harms way from the bigger man, Pac is faster but Martinez has enough speed and skill to get to Pac and use his size/Strength.... There is a possiblity that Floyd can fight a safe fight(even for him) stink out the joint and win an unpopular decision.
