Martinez is a JMW who is fighting at MW cause of circumstance. It's a credit to his skills, athleticism and will that he was so succesful vs the bigger guys. Asking him to go to SMW is ******ed. Dude only ended up as a MW cause Pavlik tried to cherry pick him and it backfired when Martinez won making him the champ at MW. If Pavlik never tried the cherry pick there's a very good chance Sergio would have never made the move to MW.

He's not getting younger, he's lucky to be blooming this late. The money is at 147-154. Go there.

Dip**** you riding with bama on this one? Chavez must've landed two right hands on Martinez in the fourth to have broken his hand. The other ****** said two right hands from Chavez broke Martinez hand and ****ed up his knee. What the **** does that mean.

He is not making 147 healthy so NO, he shouldn't go there. 154 however, YES, go there or request them to move up and get a chance at making history with the MW title on the line.

They won't do it. Unify the 160 titles.

What aren't you getting? Martinez is already fighting people bigger than him, why would you want Ward to even fight Martinez? So people can levy the same accusations you throw at Martinez?

Because I'll be the first standing in line to say he fought a blown up Junior Middleweight just to **** off morons like you. If Martinez can make LMW why should he make more money there? Likewise if Ward can make MW he should fight Martinez there, just like he made dawson come down.

He will be 38 years old by his next fight. There isn't a whole lot of time to load up your bank account and legacy. And Money comes first at this point.

You have to first try to get those money fights: Alvarez, Cotto, and Mayweather and Pac at 154 (which isn't happening but at least try for publicity purposes)

Of course, he should try. It just doesn't make sense for any of them. GBP told Canelo they don't want him fighting Martinez because "it was a style that wouldn't appeal to fans" -- but nevermind Martinez is the most exciting fighter with one of the most unique styles of anybody in the Top 15.

Money comes first at this stage , indeed ! Martinez should take the most viable and sellable fights out there ! With Cotto and Canelo can agree to fight at a cw ( 158 pounds ) and with Floyd at 154 pounds ! At 160 he has only the rematch with Jr in terms of good money fight !

    Martinez isn't a proper MW , he's a good sized jr MW !
For a guy that started his boxing career at 20 years old , Martinez has achieved lots of good things in his pro boxing career , not to mention that he worked hard and struggled a lot to be here !
    :yep

If Martinez wanted money he would fight Pirog in Russia for that 4 million he was offering.

Sergio was always a 154lb'r in reality. The fact he did what he did at middle shows his talent. I say he should move down, but if he cant find fights he should defiantly fight Ward at maybe a catchweight. He should be gunning for Pacman/Floyd/Ward in that order.

My bad Pirog offered Martinez 6 million.
***** ass Sergio said no sir, because he didn't want to fight a real middleweight.

My bad, it was 3 million dollars.

Replace the stars with the scene about boxing

Sergio turned down the 3 million dollar offer and demanded 6 million.

I'm pretty sure he felt that real power when he fought Kelly Pavlik, who has more of that one punch KO power, there Freddy :nut

Yeah he said it more like.... We'll stay at 160 but if you talk about changing weights we'll rather go down to 154 than up to 168.
