Who says this fight is happening? What's the source? Great news if it is, Murray deserves another crack at a world title.

I thought Murray was fighting for the Interim WBA title in a few weeks?.

How do people think this is a good fight? It's a huge mismatch

Murray is horrendously overrated IMO. Very, very basic operator as well.

Sergio has Golovkin, Pirog, Quillin, Geale and some decent JMWs he could potentially fight. I'd honestly rather see Carlos Molina move up and get the chance.

dont think its a mismatch murray arguably better or at least as good as macklin and he didnt do too bad against sergio(minus last round put on a better showing than chavez) and for me murray did better against strum regardless of the offical results...

each to there own and all..

What has murray done to deserve this? Fought a Sturm who has been on the slide for a while to a draw that is largely dismissed as an attempt by officials to make up for the Macklin fight.#

Also how open he was against Sturm will be a nightmare against Martinez. I agree with Flean I would actually like that fight Molina is a really good fighter with a far far better resume than Murray despite his losses.

Aren't Murray and Golovkin supposed to be fighting for meaningless SMW straps? Not against each other obviously! Although they could fight each other at 160, both claim of people ducked enough (or Murray does, can't remember whether GGG has claimed as such but his fans do)

I've just had a look GGG is fighting for the IBO SMW title, and Murray is fighting a 13-0 South American for the Interim WBA Middleweight title. The guy has a pish record. He's been floored in one of his recent fights..

I thought Murray was did really well vs Sturm but like you i don't see the big who ha with him. I actually think he let that fight slip from his grasp mentally.

I'm not sure what it was but I remember him doing stupid stuff in the last few rounds that lost it for him.

Is there a big who ha with him though? I think he goes under the radar. People always mention Barker and Macklin but hardly ever murray.
