The sinaloa drug cartel threats are in, Martinez will be forced to take a dive.

Think Martinez can get the stoppage. But yeah, unfortunately there's absolutely no chance of him getting a decision. Even winning multiple rounds and scoring knock downs, it wouldn't be enough.

Top Rank cards don't even try to hide their lack of integrity anymore.

Meh dont worry about him winning 12 rounds and getting shafted on the cards.

Sinaloa gangsters probably threatened to kill his family should he not take a dive and get "ko'd"

Yeah it's so easy to pay the judges off, unfortunately Top Rank's funds were too low after Martinez KO'd Williams and needed to win a few smaller fixes against lower tier fighters. Thanks to Tim's (a loyal TR soldier) contribution, they finally have the bankroll to take on Martinez.

Great thread by the way. :good

after watching the 24/7 and seeing martinez confidence i wouldn't be surprised if he knocked out chavez. Personally i thought julio looked a little scared to me added to the fact that he basically admitted he wasn't trying to get in the ring with martinez for the past year while sergio's been calling him a coward I think martinez has a high possibility of dominating this kid

Would that really matter much ?

We have gone from an era where belts don't necessarily mean that much (with Floyd and Pac and other megastars being bigger than the belts, and disregarding 'titles' when selecting opponents ) to an era when judges decisions no longer matter, as in the recent judging of Pac-Tim.

Everybody in the world knows that Pac put a major beatdown on Tim. Nobody ('cept maybe for Tim and Arum) wants to see a rematch as the matter has been decisively settled.

If Martinez totally outclasses Junior, but doesn't get the decision, it will only hurt the reputation of judges in general.

Junior has no possible way to win this fight. I expect he will be totally outclassed, but he will be difficult to KO. The gap between these guys is huge.

The only thing this fight will test is the integrity of the judges.

And it's a test they'd better pass, for the future legitimacy of boxing.

don king and bob arum are the same entity, bob gets more **** for being money hungry because he is a jew, when don king is just as money hungry... and don king gets more abuse for fixing fights and making fighters sign slave contracts... when bob arum does it just as much.. its like the k2 they are both the same entity...
