I see people claiming 'Williams was doing good until he got KTFO" and that "he was winning up until that point"... I must have been watching a different fight, I guess :blood Williams was carelessly pressing forward, not respecting his opponents power AT ALL. As a result of that he got hit clean many times in the first round, while Paul was simply going forward and throwing non-stop without caring for defense. Same thing continued in the second round, until he got iced. What do YOU think?
95% of people doing round by rounds said Sergio won the 1st. That was Williams fighting "perfect" too.
Martinez based on clean, effective punching. I remember him landing quite a few flush left hands, even as early as about 15 seconds into the fight.

Willaims got exposed why he always gets the nod to questionable decision fights.. He made himself look busy, throwing to the thin air like mofo.
Martinez won it without question. If he'd landed half of the flush left crosses he did land it would have won him the round.

Williams always uses the same "spray and pray" approach to any fight no matter who the opponent is. The man is incapable of adapting to the various styles of different opponents. Consequently he got embarrassed by Quintana and knocked out by Martinez.
Sergio clearly won the first round imo. People have the right to believe what they want but there's not strong basis for giving PW the round. The first round is the only full round of the fight as Sergio ko'd him in the next round.
