The awkward thing about this fight is that Martinez won rounds very clearly but the rounds won by Paul were close. If a boxing match was scored strictly by the amount of punishment a fighter takes then Martinez certainly won. But I had paul winning more individual stanzas. Especially in the championship rounds, Martinez mailed in. If it where a 15 rounder Paul would have knocked him out.

I had P-dub winning, but wouldn't argue it to the death.

Boo, why do you always question the boxing IQ of folks who thought Martinez won the fight? Sergio landed the most significant punches of the night, and I don't think Paul Williams landed sufficiently more to offset that.

Sergio dominated Williams for periods of the bout, to be sure, but he dominated Kelly for lengthier periods of time.

Sergio, in my opinion, beat Williams but not nearly as conclusively as he defeated Kelly (and I was rooting like hell for Kelly in that fight).
