Ward would have his own way with Hagler at super middleweight. Hagler would beat most super middleweights, but not Ward. I see this fight being controlled by Ward's laser jab and expert inside fighting. Hagler would be nullified by the jab and tied up on the inside, with lots of hugging inbetween.
Ward would beat Hagler very convincingly. I have zero doubt about that. By the way, Ward is going to beat Kovalev. When he does, you're all going to appreciate just how good Ward is.
Hagler had same day weigh in, iirc? If Ward can do 168 and fights on the same day I take Hagler over Ward's drained corpse.
I'm not sure I have THAT much confidence in him. But I agree about him beating Hagler. We'll have to wait and see.
He's had more fights professionally at 160 than 175. How is he a LHW when he never fought at the weight?
I don't consider him to be a full fledged light light heavy yet. He hasn't proven himself there. But he's done plenty of work at 168.
Hagler late KO could go to points, of course he could move up 1 weight division Edit: July 24th 2024 I’ve changed my mind.
I'd go with Ward's speed, variety and bodyattacking outscoring Hagler. Could he stop Hagler on bodyshots? Maybe.
Wards' famous lead head butt from the outside with gloves down won't help in in this one .. Hagler outclasses him
